Hi,I have a problem with FSX crashing on exit - it works fine when running, it only crashes on exit. I get a "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working" message box with these detailsProblem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: fsx.exe Application Version: 10.0.61472.0 Application Timestamp: 475e17d3 Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 04246c81 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 3081 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789The event log shows a 1000 error with the followingFaulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x04246c81Faulting process id: 0x1b8Faulting application start time: 0x01cb3b324c432807Faulting application path: D:\FS\fsx\fsx.exeFaulting module path: unknownReport Id: 9a4be9fc-a725-11df-b8f0-00261883e168OS is Win7 x64, UAC is off, FSX is installed in it's own directory, not in Program Files (x86) and I have ownership of that directory.Machine is an Asus P6T with an i7-920, 6GB RAM, 1000w PSU, Nvidia GTX285, 2 x 1Tb drives.The problem doesn't seem to affect the sim when it is running, it just means that I can't save any settings changes :(Any ideas?thanks

qnh, I'm having the same issue. Did you ever solve it? --Jim

Do either of you have fsinn/fscopilot installed by any chance?

Hi,Have just found this post related to an issue I'm having and all what is described happens. I've got FS2004 in it's own directory.I do use FSInn & FSCopilot, does this error mean it's related to that and there is nothing you can about it?RegardsJason

I've had this problem for some time now and I think I have the/an answer. I did this a week ago and although I've tried to provoke FSX into the 'exit crash' I've not succeeded.....so far.Here's how: Right click your fsx.exe select properties. Click the compatibility tab. At the bottom of the page is 'Privilege Level'. Put a tick/check in the box 'Run this program as an administrator' and click 'Apply'. Job done. This appears to convince FSX that I mean what I say. :rolleyes:Yes I have disabled UAC and I am the master of all I survey, on this PC at least! :( It seems that just isn't good enough for FSX.

Ian,Funny you mentioned that. I have been having a rash of FSX crashes on exit, sure enough I closed FSInn/FSCopilot and no crash. I read there was a crash fix by disabling Sky Blue radio:
Larry James @ VATSIM'][/color] Error when Exiting Flight Simulator
    • Turn off Sky Blue Radio Tuner.

  • (Addons -> FSCopilot -> Settings -> Tuner -> [click to toggle] Enabled/Disabled)

That did not do the trick for me unfortunately... actually come to think of it I have the program networked and have not disabled it on my client PC, wonder if that will resolve the issue then?
