September 6, 201015 yr I havn't used FSX in a few weeks, so I don't know when the textures changed from summer to fall, but it's still supposed to be summer on Labor Day in the US. To make it worse, in FSX it's autumn in central Florida where fall tree colors appear only deep into winter if at all in real life.Have any causes been identified and/or solutions found to this problem? I have UTX, GEX and Cloud9 textures/landclass installed. I tried disabling the Cloud9 seasons.bgl file, but it made no difference. I have to set the FSX calendar to August to get the summer textures back (which I guess is a solution of sorts).Thanks. Art
September 6, 201015 yr Yep it's Fall, or Autumn on this side of the pond. I think it changed on Sept 1st.So if you want to fly with summer textures, you will need to keep altering the date in flightsim or set your computer to a differenct date (not recommended).I don't mnd the spring and summer textures but fall is not great and Winter is soooo unrealistic.IAN Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

September 6, 201015 yr I thought fall began Sept 20th. The FSX season/time window says summer for this date.In FSX seasons are determined by calender month and change on the 1st. Florida is messed up. I once did a quick and dirty fix for someone when FSX first came out. It could use a little more care in shifting from summer to fall / winter seasons as you move north. Here you see fall extends south about to ORL in September.scott s..
September 6, 201015 yr I thought fall began Sept 20th. The FSX season/time window says summer for this date.Yes you are correct. To be fully correct, falls starts either on the 22nd or 23rd of Sept, depending on the year (at least according to Astronomy - meteorologists may see this it a bit different or more simple :(). But as Scott said, FS doesn't care about Astronomy and let's fall start on the 1st of Sept.Wolfgang

Now that I think about it, I flew last fall/winter with summer settings in order to get it right. I just wasn't expecting it so early, and was hoping there was another solution. Art
September 7, 201015 yr So I assume no one ever tried to alter the FSX code to try and change the seasonal changes to a later date? Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |
