FSX Ground Textures

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am looking for some freeware or payware textures for taxiways, runways, aprons, etc. The default textures don't look realistic. For example the tire skids on the runway show up a a big black streak at both ends of the runway. I am just looking for something to enhance the realism. Let me know if you know of anything.....I'm looking for a phenomenal improvement. Thanks everybody. EthanPosted from my iPhone 4 - yea baby

Hi,Well, if you do not own REX (Payware) that is the first place I'd look. You'll get runway enhancements plus a whole lot more.http://realenvironmentxtreme.comYou can also look at Ultimate Airport Environment X also payware.http://www.zinertek.com/flightsimulator.htmlIf your looking for freeware, then I would look at.Airport Enhancer HDX - Downloadable from AVSIM

And I sure hope that you were not driving, texting and doing all sorts of other dangerous stuff on that iPhone thingee multitasking while walking through a crosswalk, eating in a restaurant, talking with friends, in a business meeting, jogging with a headset and missing out on the real world. So I have a Blackberry Curve, like who cares! Gees did I say that all out loud and in print?

REX is leagues ahead of the competition, in my humble opinion. Highly recommended.

Add to address the original question. REX - I love it. Its better by far. I am really enjoying mixing and matching textures and the weather module is just fantastic fun.
