October 4, 201015 yr Hi folks, anyone bought the new Iris A-10 Thunderbolt yet? It looks great but I'd be grateful for some feedback on the flight model and the graphic quality of the VC.Thanks,Noel 11th Gen i9-11900K @ 3.5GHz | nVidia GeForce RTX 3080 | Corsair 64 GB RAM | Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB | Asus 27" RoG G-Sync Track IR5 | Thrustmaster Warthog | CH Products Pedals

December 31, 201114 yr Moderator Hi folks, anyone bought the new Iris A-10 Thunderbolt yet? It looks great but I'd be grateful for some feedback on the flight model and the graphic quality of the VC.Thanks,NoelI bought it not this Christmas sale but the Christmas before when they had that $5 or $10 dollar sale and have yet to install it and try it out. The only thing that held me back from installing it was that I heard it included something like 80 liveries, plus I had bought the F-15 on the same sale and didn't like it so I removed it from my HD.I'm interested to hear how people like it however and I might go ahead and install it. December 31, 201114 yr Author As the original poster of this thread, I should point out that my question was asked in 2010. I have since purchased the Iris A-10 Thunderbolt and found it quite good, although of course systems modelling and graphics fidelity are not to the standard of DCS A-10c. But then there are few planes in FSX that are. January 1, 201214 yr Did someone manage to get this bird started including the HUD from cold and Dark by the Checklists (not the Quickstart function!)?I get all up and running apart from the HUD. When I purchased that in the first 5$ sale they did, I also asked this in the old Iris Forums but never got useable response from anyone.

I would like to reinstall it but I no longer have the serial. I have a place where I write down all my purchase info but I guess I forgot that time. Any chance you remember where you got yours? January 1, 201214 yr I purchased the A-10 during last year's sale as well. It is well above and beyond their earlier F-15 release, in terms of graphics and fidelity of details. I highly recommend it.Oh, and there's even a way of making the weapons functional (within the FSX constraints.) Alexander Alonso
