September 25, 200322 yr Author I don't have FS2004, but it SHOULD work :) The panel might not work :-/I'm Darren, not Pedro :-Phttp://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.ph.../AAV_banner.jpghttp://www.aavirtual.com :) Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
September 25, 200322 yr Tony,I forgot the other reason why I have kept it, but you reminded me of my Flight1 Cesna 421, this is one of my favorites but it is not 2004 ready yet. If I want to fly it, it has to be in 2002.Stephen
September 25, 200322 yr Yes how true....I had forgotten about the C421...I have that plane and I am hoping for a port to FS9. But I am afraid the framerates will be lousy!I will have to fly it tonight in FS2002.Tony
September 26, 200322 yr Within one week I deleted FS2002 and all the add-ons I'd accumulated over the years. I intend to fly the basic FS2004 for a time to get a real feel for the "out of the box" product. So far I'm overjoyed flying the Piper Cub around my local area just as I've done so many times in real life.bf
September 26, 200322 yr A few years ago there was this sim, which shall remain nameless :) which was released prematurely without even a manual... and it was soundly panned at first.... but as people explored it further and further, they found more and more gems in it, and it grew and prospered, and is still in some use today....As I explore FS2004 further and further, (when I can actually get it to run), unfortunately I find that what appeared to be gems at first are actually just coal underneath. Today the touted ATC vectored me 30 miles away, just to restart my ILS approach after a go-around in the C172. Hell, if I gotta go 30 miles, I may as well just continue to my alternate. Yesterday, the real-weather cloud pattern was all cut up with sharp un-natural edges to the cloud patterns. And the day before that... Yes, maybe nicer eye-candy than FS2002, but FS2002 will not be leaving until the next sim with a greater hint of reliability.
September 26, 200322 yr Man that's interesting. I have had no lockups, weird ATC vectors, or anything.
