MD11 - FS9 and FSX

Featured Replies

I have had the MD11 for FS9, download version, for some time now.As I also have FSX on my PC I decided to get the FSX version of the MD11 to see how it performs; this has been said to be a good indicator of the upcoming NGX performance. Well it performs smoothly enough, even at complex add-on airports so I'm looking forward to the NGX.The FSX version I got was the Aerosoft CD version as Amazon were selling it cheaper in the UK than the cost of the direct download (sorry Robert, Ryan et al!). The only thing is Amazon sent the German version, which I only discovered after opening it and seeing the manuals in German. Being software I now cannot return it. My question therefore is am I right in assuming that there is not a significant difference between the two versions as far as the manuals are concerned? I have the manuals for the FS9 d/loaded version and hopefully these will tell me all I need to know for the FSX version.Iain Smith

Iain,The tutorials have an FS9 or FSX version. The rest of the manuals are for both FS-versions.Have a look also at the PMDG -Download- Documents section.Warning: Watch it to get too much addicted to the MD11. That is, if your goal is to fly NGX'sRegards,Harry

Hi Iain.Pity you did not purchase from Flightstore, who likewise supplied the Aerosoft DVD c/w German tutorial and manual but then had no problems exchanging it for the English version, and it was at the same price as the Amazon offer.

Thanks guys.Harry - I'll look at that PMDG section. As the 737 is my favourite airliner I have no worries about addiction. :biggrin:Rick - now you tell me! :rolleyes:RegardsIain

Hi Iain. Not really my fault as I was not to know that you'd be interested in this particular purchase. Besides, I have made references to Flightstore's occasional sales like the one currently on which ends on the 17th, in the past.I'm going to be grabbing the Concorde X amongst other titles from that sale which is 30% off.And their service is second to none.

If you ordered the English version and they delivered the German version then yes, you can return it for a replacement.

Welcome to the forum Patrick, full names are requested here.Your solution is to get the registry repair tool free from Flight1 and run it (as admin if you have Vista/W7). Also, I recommend you start a new thread if you have an off-topic question. Hope this helps.
