November 2, 201015 yr Commercial Member On the USB keyboard issue too - you may need to have "USB Legacy Support" or something similarly named turned on in the BIOS - if that's somehow off, it could explain why you can't get in without a PS/2 keyboard. November 2, 201015 yr I bougtht a:Asus Rampage IIII7 980XeVGA 480 Superclocked6 Gig Corsair Tri channelSilverstone 1500WHuge Coolermaster case80 gig SSD driveand I tell you I never paid anywhere near 6K. I think about 3-4K. A USB keyboard should be fine. I can get into my bios with it. Are you plugged into a HUB? Try plugging directly into the mobo. Like Ryan says, that processor OC's nicely. I get a stable 4.3.Jack CWhen you think about it 3k-4k still is quite a lot... Of course, you got a rather hefty machine for it. November 2, 201015 yr You probably already know this but 2 GPU's in SLI configuration are overkill for FSX. Why not go for an i7 instead of the i5? It w could be well worth your while to go with the 7, much easier to OC and more stable. Why i5 instead of i7? 85% of the performance for 20% the price. Paul Smith.

November 2, 201015 yr Why i5 instead of i7? 85% of the performance for 20% the price. For what I know (that is probably not too much) that would be an OCed I5 7xx VS OCed I7 980X, considering the 980X clocks like 10% higher.Clock for clock, I would expect the I5 to be within a 5-10% performance difference in FSX when compared to any I7 9xxHey, but why don't we test our sytems and find out what's going on? Check out the FSX Benchmark thread in this section if interested :(
November 2, 201015 yr Why i5 instead of i7? 85% of the performance for 20% the price. You will never notice the difference @ 4ghz, maybe a stutter here and there.... :( Craig Sells
