October 11, 200322 yr Ok.Trying to be a "team" player right now. What are the best drivers and possibley tweaks for your current cards.I'm using 44.33 and I have flickering and mountain shakes. Nvidia are suppose to release the official 5x,xx driver. Hopefully this will be gesred to fix flicker, etc...Tim
October 11, 200322 yr Hi!I have ver 44.33 in my driver archieve but I don't use it, I tried once, and my card seems overheat. Have you experience this?Edit. Currently I'm using ver 45.23 official from ASUS.
October 12, 200322 yr There are no "best" drivers Tim. The "best" is whatever works for you on your machine and meets the needs you have. Different strokes.... Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. October 12, 200322 yr Ive noticed the best "quality" (not FPS/performance) on my Creative GeForce4 ti4600 with drivers 44.03, 45.23 (any version both Nvidia, Omega and Starstorm), and now lately the 52.13.In terms of performance, only the 44.04 (Creative version) have meant more noticable and better FPS without ruining too much of the quality. The 52.** series is probably going to be the better ones for you to use once they become official, since you have a FX card i think :)
October 14, 200322 yr It depends on the card you have.. for older Nvidia cards (Ti4200 etc) the 30.82 drivers still perform the best! Bert

October 15, 200322 yr 2 questions for you tim.How well does your system run (FPS at DFW, all slider to the right, with broken skies) and what do you mean by mountain shakes?NP The reason why I ask is because I've been asked to put together a system for a family member for simming and was planning on using a P4 3.0gig HT with the 5900ultra 512 ram 160 serial HD which is close to your system.
October 15, 200322 yr For flicker-free performance with the 5900 Ultra, try driver 45.33 from guru3d.com. It is flicker free!I have mountain shakes, too. Something to do with AA or AS? Dick Parker in Northeast Ohio USA Windows 10 64-bit | Nvidia GTX 1080 | ORBX | P3D 4.4.16.27077
October 16, 200322 yr I'm using the NVidia 52.13's off of Guru and am more pleased about these then ANY 4X.XX series from the NVidia site. I'm using a Ti4600. I doubt I'll "update" when NVidia releases the official version since it is not good business to fix what aint broke!Randy Jura, KPDX

October 16, 200322 yr Hi!Asus has its own Driver, so I consider it is "official", and included in every ASUS card products. It is a bit different compare to "reference driver" from nVidia site, because they are include some ASUS utilites.Latest driver for ASUS V9950 Ultra is ver 45.23, got it by downloading from ASUS site.
October 16, 200322 yr MikeI too have the 5200 have you anti aliasing enabled I disabled mine and all 2D cockpits show up ok, the only trouble I have now is my aircraft is Grey and I mean everything tyres etc this included the AI aircraft in FS9Bruce
