November 7, 201015 yr Well.... after hearing good things about FSDT DFW, I decided to go and buy it. I purchased it and got a email w/serial number but when I try to download it I get a HTTP 403 error. If I click on other products it will let me download but NOT the one I purchased. Further more I cant even post about this on their forum as I have to wait for approval to do so (which I dont understand why). I even tried to download on another computer I have in my home with no luck. Anybody have any ideas I can try? Thanks, Jim Jim Wenham
November 7, 201015 yr Jim, I get that every time I get an airport from FSDT, and the only thing that works for me (firefox) is to disable my anti virus, and leave the specific (Dallas in your case) airport page open until the download is complete.Give it a try, and make sure you only have their site open during the download for safety.Good Luck. Could you try to see if DFW will download on your machine? If it starts just cancel it out. It just seems that DFW has a problem as if I click on other airports it will allow me to download. So much for a relaxing Sunday afternoon on a flight to DFW... :( Jim Wenham

November 7, 201015 yr Author Got it to work now. What I had to do to be able to download it was to delete my InPrivate Filtering data in IE and then it worked fine. Now if you will excuse my Im loading up the 767 departing from KATL to KDFW. Thanks to all that offered help.Jim Jim Wenham
November 8, 201015 yr Commercial Member Further more I cant even post about this on their forum as I have to wait for approval to do so (which I dont understand why). There's a sound reason why posting on our forum requires manual approval: before that, we had dozen of registrations each day, all coming from IP in countries like Vietnam, Moldova, Yemen, China, etc.Their motivation for registering on our forum, aren't of getting support for products (we don't think we ever sold a single product in Moldova or Vietnam so far...) but, instead, to get email addresses of our users, to spam them or sell them to other spammers. A good percentage of our forum users don't select to hide their email, so we had to switch to an approval system, in order to protect them from spamming.Believe me, it's annoyoing having to manually approve every new user, but it's really the only thing that works, since these are real people registering not robots, because they took their time to manually register, which means they won't be stopped by a Captcha or any other similar system, which only prevents mass automatic registrations.Of course, the fact that you need to wait to be approved to post on our forum, doesn't obviously mean you can't use EMAIL support in the meantime.Which, of course, is what you did, since you emailed us, you got several replies, and you also confirmed to have fixed your problem. So far it's my favorite FSDT work, although I could be biased since I live near there. If you like it, you will probably also love the rest of their selection.I have a custom ADE for KDFW that I had spent a bit of time working on, which is geared specifically to using UT2 traffic and what UT2 flys into that airport, and some of the WOAI cargo packages. I can send it to you to try if you want, just PM me with your email address again. If you ever get their KFLL I also have a specific ADE for it as well that you may like. Im lovin DFW so far. The only thing I see as a bit of an issue are the flashing lights on the light polls. Its kinda like what happens if you have the night lighting turned on in UTX where the intersection lights flash.Jim Jim Wenham
November 9, 201015 yr Moderator Hi Jim.I got your PM. I will send you the ADE tonight for you to try. Basically what I did was take the ADE Dennis did, fix the parking codes of which many were wrong and also corrected most of the cargo area parking codes. Now it should reflect what UT2 sends to the airport, as well as the WOAI cargo that go to DFW. I also added a few cargo spots for carriers like Air Transport International, BAX Global and Martinaire which is a small feeder. There are no WOAI packages for ATI or Martinaire, but I built my own and can give you the info for it if you want. UT2 covers BAX Global, but you will have to download a model and paint for it, then assign it in UT2.As far as some of the light poles flashing, I get that as well and I dont have the UT lights turned on. I think it is because the lights on some of the poles are possibly flat disks and depending on the angle that you view them, it causes them to pop into or out of view. I could be wrong though. I have thought about asking Umberto about it becuase it kind of annoys me as well. I have noticed that the lights that flicker are only on one or two buildings, so maybe its something else.Talk to you later,SeanBTW, KFLL and KLAS are pretty good as well. In fact, I love all of their stuff and own it all minus the Hawiian stuff. If you have an interest in KORD or KJFK you should jump on those as well. They pretty much perform as good or better than the default versions while adding more detail. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
