November 9, 201015 yr Hi GuysYesterday I installed a bunch of addons, both payware & freeware (all aircraft). Now, when I start a flight with ANY aircraft, the engines immediately shutdown and I have to restart them. And worse, after about 8 or 10 mins of flight, they shut down again!!!It's just running out of fuel. All the main avionics stay powered. The engines just quit, both pistons and jets alike.Never seen anything like it.I've tried rolling back and uninstalling everything I installed, but I'm still left with the problem.Any ideas guys? Thanks Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
November 9, 201015 yr May be you have flights stored with engines shut off.Try with the default flight! Best regards from RelaxX
November 9, 201015 yr Always start your sim with a default plane loaded. Make all your preferred settings on that default plane and save a mode and make it your start up mode. Then, load an addon plane after that. There is a setting in Aircraft Realism about never running out of fuel. You can set that if you want. I put all my preferences into my start up mode.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090

November 9, 201015 yr Do you have a saitek yoke? They used to send phantom commands to the sim, if there's a key bound to fuel cuttoff or something like that, then that could be your problem...
November 10, 201015 yr Author No I don't.It seems the only aircraft I can now fly without shutting down after a few mins are those with their own fuel/engine logic, such as the A2A aircraft with Accusim. If anyone can think of what might be causing this I'd be very grateful. It always helps whenever I'm stuck with an add-on, registry, or config issue. Too bad for me, I never started flights using the default Cessna to get things in order when flying Super Sabres or even Spitfires all across Western Indonesia Dave. November 10, 201015 yr Moderator ok this is convoluted so follow me - I had the exact same issue and this worked for me.Reset FSX to the default Trike flight - Start FSX - exit FSX - Start FSX - load default flight and fly - switch a/c - does a/c engine keep running? ( be sure mixture is rich, etc)Land a/c - shut down a/c ( I assume you want cold & dark) - save flight as default - exit FSX - start FSX - load default flight ( should be already loaded) - switch to preferred a/c - switch to preferred location - start a/c - should be fine.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
November 10, 201015 yr Author Thank you for the feedback guys.It turned out to be a hardware controller issue (as suggested).I have yoke & pedal PLUS a Saitek X-52 stick plugged in.There were conflicting settings between the the yoke and the X52.
