Featured Replies

When the fsx running, my 2 or 3 cores work at max. but 1-2 cores work at %20-30.i have onlythat tweak:

[JOBSCHEDULER]AffinityMask=14

is there any solution for this problem?my cpu is AMD X4 630 2.9 ~ 3.4 ghz

For a quad core try using AffinityMask=15

Flavio Cardoso - P3Dv4.5 HF3

Win 10 Pro 64Bits - i74960X 4.5ghz - ASUS Rampage IV Black Ed. - Corsair H150i Platinum - 32gb  Ripjaws Z - ASUS RTX 2080 SUPER SC - MCP 737R 2015 Virtual Avionics

Affinity mask 14 uses 3 cores (Binary 1110) This is the correct setting for FSX as it leaves core 0 to run the o/s and background processes resulting in a smoother sim.Affinity mask 15 uses all 4 cores (Binary 1111) and there seems little point to this.I did read somewhere that this line is irrelevant since SP2 though.IAN

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

Affinity mask has always confused me.. some say use 14/15 or 12, some say use 84/85 (cuz of HT?) some say use 254/255).Currently using 14

This is not a problem, but exactly the way you want it to work for smooth flight.Affinity Mask=14:For a quad core, Core00 is running base code only, Core01 is running the mainFSX threads, and Core02 and 03 are dedicated to scenery and texture loading.

Still relevant :rolleyes:
