November 18, 201015 yr Hello, just wanted to say, that Beta 640 for FSX on a WIN7 64 System is the best since month now.I have such impressive weather! very good!Keep that please :biggrin:Guenter Guenter Steiner -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betatester for: A2A, LORBY, FSR-Pillow Tester --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
November 19, 201015 yr Still not connecting to my fsx. I need to select user defined weather from the create a flight menu. Otherwise I agree the weather itself is spectacular.
November 19, 201015 yr Hi,We are not always changing the weather theme to User Defined in FSX as before. This is not a bug nor does it mean that ASE and FSX are not communicating.....as they are.Hi,We are not always changing the weather theme to User Defined in FSX as before. November 19, 201015 yr Author I have a registered (and updated!) version of FSUIPC and inserted this line into the ini: UseASEweather=YesBut to be honest I don't know if that makes any difference and could be the reason why my version runs well and yours not.Jim could clarify this...Do you also run FSX? With beta 629 all was good ever since I installed v 640 things got "choppier". I didn't play with ase's settings.I just installed it and left it at that.Vic
November 20, 201015 yr I have a registered (and updated!) version of FSUIPC and inserted this line into the ini: UseASEweather=YesBut to be honest I don't know if that makes any difference and could be the reason why my version runs well and yours not.Jim could clarify this...Do you also run FSX?Hmmm are we supposed to add that line if using b640 and the fsuipc that hifi says we need to use with b640?Jim, I have had to use like 4 or 5 activations now as it keeps telling me I have to when I first install a new beta build (629, 633 and 640 off the top of my head). Can I get my counter reset? Eric
November 20, 201015 yr Guys,You add that line if you wish to to use RC4 with ASE. That is the only combination right now.Yes each of the latest betas require an activation the very first time because of our attempts to work on activation issues. After that initial run, ASE should not ask again until the next beat is installed.Eric, you let me know if your activations get totally blocked. Right now I would say you are OK.
November 21, 201015 yr Ok Thanks for the update. But when selecting user defined weather do I sometimes have to change the time in game once loaded because the clouds take but not the winds.
November 21, 201015 yr Hi,No need to manually switch. With B640 once you start a flight User Defined will be chosen again automatically, just as in older builds.
November 22, 201015 yr Do you also have to add the "Use ASE WX" line into the FSUIPC ini if you are using FS9.I understood that this was only an FSX problem. Now I am confused.I have updated to the latest BETA version of both FSUIPC and ASE (for FS9).Do I need to alter anything?ThanksNeil
December 2, 201015 yr I gotta say that I agree that Beta 640 has been great. I've flown more than a half-dozen flights with this build. I have noticed significantly smoother weather translation and much more realistic cloud coverage than with 582. Great job, guys. Keep up the good work.Bob
December 2, 201015 yr I agree that 640 seems to be better than previous...there are still a couple issues I have learned to live with.I have to disagree with the cloud transitions smoothness...I run FSXC with ASE DWC ON and smooth transitions is ON as well....yet clouds will suddenly vanish and re-appear intermittently throughout the flight, usually around the time of the update interval or when I am in the descent to destination. The wind data and visibility below 3000 AGL is what is most important to me and that seems to be very accurate in 640.In FS9, FSUIPC 3.xx had a cloud transition smoothing option (10% per second or something like that) which coupled with AS6.5 worked perfectly. Too bad that does not exist in ASE or FSUIPC 4.xxRob. System specs: Dual core E6300 (1.86g X 2), 2gb RAM, nvidea7800GT, Saitek yoke, CH throttle (6 lever), Soundblaster live.Add-ons: FSX: LDS767, FSL Concorde, FT E175/195, PMDG 747X/737X, Active Sky E, some freeware airports.Human specs: Desktop simulation since FS1, beta tester (LDS, FSL), 737NG simulator tech (Threshold Aviation), r sole+.
