I saw on the AVSIM front page about MyTRAFFIC v5.3 Pro updated to version v5.3aSo, I went back to simMarket, logged in, and went to my MyTraffic order page. I downloaded the zip file again, but nowhere does it say in the file title, or in the executable itself when you start the installation process...that it is verion 'a'.Did anybody also try to download the update and did you find one with the version 'a' CLEARLY stated? I don't mean the reference on their product page under FSX, that it is version 'a', but that you saw it anywhere in the download sequence...I don't want to merely be installing version 5.3 Pro once more over what is already upon my hard drive!So...is this the actual upgrade .exe or do you go somewhere else to download rather then simMarket? Post Edit: I also left a simMarket ticket asking for the same info. When I get a response, I'll update.

Glen, I tried that, and it did say there was a v5.3a, but then just hung up and the download mask would not engage. The normal PATCHES worked. That's when I went back to simMarket and downloaded it again via my purchase-download page. The 'NEW VERSIONS' mask seems to not work on my Communicator.Mitch

Jean-Jacques, that was EXACTLY my experience. The Communicator SHOWS the update, but then does not allow the download mask to highlight to start the download. Now, as you, I did download again from simMarket, but when I ran the install, it only showed v5.3 Perhaps somebody will get to the right people to make this work within the v5.3 Communicator....to be able to upgrade.

I did the update through the Communicator (Menu - Downloads - Updates for 5.3). It's all stated in his forum under Announcements. You'll also find a thread there on the forum where you can download the update via a direct link to the update. It was truly a simple process for me.Best regards,Jim

I also had problems to update from the Communicator. The helpdesk from My Traffic X gave me the info mentioned by Paul J.

Thanks for the link Paul J. Download went without a hitch. My Traffic Communicator shows version 5.3a, but My Traffic Editor still shows 5.3. Just wondering if this is the way it is suppose to read? Manuals are showing 5.3a. Also, how do you turn the strobes on? Thanks.

Run MyTraffic Communicator. Choose Configure MyTraffic. Choose Manage aircraft configuration: models, exits and strobe lights.
