737NGX and MCP-Pro

Featured Replies

Key question for me and I expect a lot of folks, can you say if the MCP-Pro will be fully supported in the upcoming release?* Orest

I'd be interested also. It wasn't cheap and certainly adds to the realism. It will be a great addition to flying the NGX, but I'm not confident. Aside from the original 737, PMDG appear reluncant to have the required driver made available.

PC Specs:

Intel I7-2600K, Asus P8P67 Pro, 8GB PC3 17000 (DDR3-2133) XLD 9-11-9-28, GTX 980, 34" ASUS Monitor, 1TB Samsung EVO SSD, Windows 10 (64-bit), Prepar3D v3.3.5.17625, AS 2016, AivlaSoft EFB, EZDOK

I'm hoping my VRInsight MCP is fully supported also. VRi said they would support it as best they could whether or not a SDK gets released. Took some major canoodling to get the FSX MD-11 working.

PMDG are planning to release an SDK for the NGX. This will enable users and hardware manufacturers to write their own drivers for interfacing their hardware with the NGX :Applause:Don't expect all hardware to be compatible on day 1 of release, this will take time, but hopefully all of our hardware needs will be catered for by the SDK.

I also hope that all of the CPFlight hardware will be compatible with the new NGX. I suggest we post our requests on the forum of FlightSimLabs. As they have provided the drivers in the past for PMDG software for FS2004.Jon

Don't forget the MCP by opencockpits that works great with the 737NG! :(

No need, that was only because the guy who owned the drivers was at PMDG at the time of creation and when he left, took the drivers with him. Afaik he now has nothing to do with PMDG so that would be a waste of time.

Not exactly. PMDG is only going to include the SDK for developers and users to make drivers for supported hardware, and NOT any drivers to run certain hardware. So who's going to make them?Jon

Who produced the custom LDS 767 option in the GF config program? Was it LevelD or Go-Flight?It would be the height of frustration, if you couldn't get full control of the NGX MCP, with the MCP-Pro.* Orest

Given the amount of capital invested in the software and hardware for this hobby of ours I would hope we would not need to spend an additional $100 for the 'interface'.Kevin
