No, there will be additional sim-specific manuals. Is it so hard to understand that? I am often puzzled how simplest words on these forums can be twisted and their meaning corrupted.

Michael, I've read nowhere that there will be additional manuals . I'm not sure how you know this either.And what are you trying to achieve? If you want to make me look like a fool, you're going to have to back yourself up. I haven't twisted any words nor corrupted their meaning. I hope that this isn't too hard to understand...

The way I understand it, the manuals you pay for are for the 737 systems that will be and are simulated (accurate to the real 737 systems, such as the Bleed Air function), while the PFD manuals will explain simulator specific content (panel state saves and the difference between left clicking and right clicking a knob).

Why would there be different manuals for the product, it is not what they have announced, and I'll just quote from the announcement thread :

hese manuals are being published under license, which means that we are able to give you current, up-to-date information and procedures including performance tables, operating procedures and service advisories compiled by Boeing to alert airline operators of "quirks, abnormalities and advisories" related to operating the 737NG airplane in the real world.(...)We anticipate that almost every single page of the entire 3,305 pages will provide you with nearly perfect information on the operation of your PMDG 737NGX. When you read of a specific technique, quirk or limitation in the manuals, you will find that these behaviors are perfectly mirrored in the software.(...)Also, I should also point out that Boeing has not yet agreed that these up-to-date flight manuals will be made available via our download pages. The pdf manuals will be included in the final PMDG 737NGX product, but as of this writing we do not yet have license to distribute them digitally outside of the product itself. (We are still negotiating on this requirement, and I will keep you posted- but the manuals are owned by Boeing and their wishes must be followed.)

There seems to be lots of confusement here.What i believe will occur is there will be the printed manuals in PDF form, AND additional manuals that will describe FSX specific items. These are not aircraft system related, but will run you through how to operate the switches, how to change options on your NGX ect. There is a manual like this called Introduction with other PMDG products.

Tim is correct, PMDG always provided such sim-specific manuals (in addition to whatever other manuals they may provide). And BTW this is exactly what Ryan had stated before. The simplest answer is often the hardest to grasp ...
