I'll do some more tests anyway and will post another .dat file with different mappings to see if that solves your issueNo need for exclamations or bolded fonts. I'm trying to help, you know, and you didn't say you were pressing the heading knobI'll get back to you later

December 14, 201015 yr Author Ok, try this one. It has the HDG intervention mapped to heading select like the 744http://www.divshare.com/download/13505943-d58
January 5, 201115 yr Hi Dario,Up until now, I only used my MCP-Combo with the LevelD767, and that was OK. Since I'm a real newbie with the MCP, I would like to ask you something.I recently installed the voice commander for the PMDG 747, and I really like it. I always fly the 8i version, and I really would like to fly the aircraft with the MCP-Combo.So, I downloaded your dat-file and placed it into the SerialFP2/Keymap directory. Then, I did run the panel installer and installed the MCP-Combo for the PMDG744X.Then I started FSX, and choosed the 747-8i.Then I did run SerialFP, and loaded the module. So far, so good. But I'm not able to do anything with the MCP-Combo: speed-, heading-, and altitude-knobs for instance won't function at all. Did not even try theother buttons on the panel. What am I doing wrong??? Could you give me advice about this?Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Kind regards,Henk

Both your guidelines and Vincent's guidelines in the thread, I opened a couple of days ago work. This means, the supplied .dat-files are OK. Again, I apologize by the creator(s) of these dat-files (Dario??), for saying that they belong in the recycle.bin. That was wrong. A little bit of help from Dario on the other hand, should have prevent me from saying that. Finally a forum is meant to help and support each other. Therefore, many thanks for the help.Btw, do the VOR-ADF switches on the EFIS panel of your MCP-Combo work??Regards,Henk

When I press VOR2 the light goes on!DARIO will you be so kind and take a look at that ?? Regards Robert!
January 14, 201115 yr Author Sorry, I would have sworn I addressed Henk's issue, not sure if I never hit the submit button or what.Ok guys, let me check the VOR2 thing
January 14, 201115 yr Author Sorry guys. There's no PMDG key assigment for the VOR switches so the only way I know to map them is via registered copy of FSUIPC and mouse macros or LUA vars
January 14, 201115 yr Sorry guys. There's no PMDG key assigment for the VOR switches so the only way I know to map them is via registered copy of FSUIPC and mouse macros or LUA varsThe funny thing is, that when I wrote my keyboard.ini file, as a mix of the original MCP.Combo dat file and the FS2Crew keyboard.ini file, the VOR-ADF switches worked. Therefore I used the EFIS commands from the keyboard.ini file, as generated from running the panelinstaller with the original VRInsight PMDG744X.dat file.Well, not real important, but still funny.Henk
January 16, 201115 yr Did some remapping with the second dat-file, Dario supplied us with (hope you don't mind Dario). Now the VOR/ADF switches work.Furthermore, I modified the programmable buttons of the COM part of the MCP-Combo. Assignments are:Button0 (the most left one): toggles Overhead panel on/offButton1: toggles FO panel on/offButton2: toggles FMC/CDU panel on/offButton3: toggles THR panel on/offButton4: toggles COM panel on/offButton5: not assignedButton6: decrease Autobrake (like with the LevelD-767)Button7: increase Autobrake (like with the LevelD-767)If you're interested in this dat-file, please let me know. I can mail it to you.Henk
