VRInsight MCP Combo Panel key mapper for the FS2Crew 744X voice commander edition

Featured Replies

Hi guys & gals. For those of you who, like me, are using a VRInsight MCP Combo Panel and have purchased the PMDG 747 Voice Commander edition, here's an edited keymap to make the panel work with the FS2Crew PMDG_747-400_Kbd.in provided by Bryan. You just need to back-up and then replace your old SFP2_MCP_PMDG_744X.dat located at C:\Program Files (x86)\SerialFP2\Keymap (that's the default location, of course if you installed your SerialFP2 in a different folder... well you know what to do) with this one:Download linkI hope that helps. If you find any missing, wrong mappings or something just let me know.

That's for the FSX version. Should have been more specific there. Is the FS2Crew keymap the same for FS9? if it is, the only thing that needs to be done for it to work in FS9 is rename the .dat filefrom: SFP2_MCP_PMDG_744X.datto:SFP2_MCP_PMDG_744.datWell, I can check that myself, let me seeEDIT: Ok, the mappings are not the same, I'll redo the mappings for FS9 then

Here's the FS9 version. Two files:SFP2_MCP_PMDG_744.dat (copy to C:\Program Files (x86)\SerialFP2\Keymap)747400Kbd.ini (copy to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\PMDG)Don't forget to backup your files just in case you ever need to revert the changes!

Well you just sold me, loosing my MCP was what kept me from purchasing. Will be buying soon.

Bought, can't wait to try it out. Dazz, hope you post these files also on VRi's forums.
