I know PMDG's policy is not to say anything about their release dates. Fine with that. But, I am being hounded by family members asking what software I would like for Xmas. Of course it would be the 737 (if it were out) but since it isn't, I have choices to make-- other products to buy. I am asking if anyone in "the know" or with PMDG can state the answer to the very simple, non-leading question... Will the 737 be available by this Xmas? That is all I want to know. I am not asking for speculation beyond 12/25/10.Thanks!

First of all, wrong forum, and secondly, there isn't a chance you will get an answer. But I am going to say no, it won't be released considering they haven't shown screenshots of repaints nor announced it went from Alpha to Beta testing.

It's unknown, simple as that, and even if that were not so, much as it would be nice, I suspect PMDG is not going to change their policy on letting product release information out simply to suit somebody's Christmas shopping list. If you are going to get their 737 when it comes out, why not ask for the printed QRH manual for it? That would be a nice present too.Al

As stated by a previous poster, the 737NGX has not yet reached beta stage. I would be very surprised if they would be able to go to beta, make sure there are no bugs, then prepare and release the sim in 13 days. It seems impossible.

To be honest I wouldn't mind the Alpha as is.. I would say 95% of the "bugs" that happen after launch I probably wouldn't notice.

He He. I would have to say that is the best attempt to try and get release info yet. If you are worried about Xmas and if it is not released by then, give an IOU for Xmas. I used to get them.

Ask for a mastercard gift card so you can buy whenever it is released and problem solved... I am not looking for any commitment other than will it be out in 3 weeks? :( :( :( B) -P

Even though I can buy things the rest of the year, the wife always gives me the look (that and teen aged girl) that always wants to shop. To bad PMDG doesn't have a pre-order option...

Sounds like you need to load up at Capt Sims Christmas sale and the IRIS $5 bucks sale. That should keep you occupied until PMDG does their thing.Ray

I'm so glad was born in July, my sister's birthday is Dec 23, and she always gets the Birthday/Christmas presents which totally cuts down the amount of gifts you get for the year , your going to have to do what I did and open up a secret bank account

That's the best avatar I've ever seen! And I agree a bday in the middle of the year is great, when you are younger it brought extra gifts!
