January 12, 201115 yr One issue I see is with a higher LOD radius more memory is used. I had occassional OOMs even with FSX in Win7 64, 6G RAM. Looking at the LOD radius and going from 6.5 to 4.5 saved 15% in Memory (Private Working Set) as reported by task manager. May only matter when using a very detailed AC at a very complex airport, but, I have tried to stay at 4.5, occassionally using 6.5 with FSX Go when I start my flights.JoeAll true, in addition if you chose to use any large Bufferpool in the range of 200-400Mb it just adds to the strange problem but as a few others have noted going to 8 or 12 GB solves the issue.I'm thinking about updating to this driver. What mods do you guys have on your FSX.cfg file besides the LOD? Are you using any of *******' mods? Only mods I use are in my sig (besdies Highmemfix which is a keeper).

It compares to any real-world ariel pic....I run a GTX285 and W7 64 Pro, with the latest Beta 266.35, and all is very satisfying rendering.
January 12, 201115 yr Hi,Well, the span displays with surround option doesn't work on my triple monitor setup. All I get is a black screen. The only way I can run the beta drivers is via activate all displays. January 13, 201115 yr Hi,I got the new beta drivers working, I keep forgetting I have to do a complete uninstall / new install before I am able to get the surround option to work. Wish they would fix this in the next release. January 13, 201115 yr Big time! The most prominent are water textures. They now look life-like.I can't notice any difference between 260.99 and 266.35. Which driver version did you use before updating, which gave you this difference???

'I'm still on 257.21 with my GTX285. Any performance or IQ gain with newer drivers'I meant a difference comparing between this poster still using the 257.21 and the 266.35. As you say, there is no perceivable difference between the 260.99 and this latest beta. Actually, I find the 266.35 about the same as the 260.99, but have not found anything LESS in using them. I figured to just keep using the beta until they go gold. That's why I didn't go into detail on my O.P., but merely 'very nice' as the main comment. :)Mitch
