David Roch: I can keep adding people to my list.... that's about all I can do. I can't help them from stalking me from one thread to another... I really can't see how anyone can argue the 2600k is the best one for overclocking purposes.
IMO that's perfectly OK. But please allow other people the same right to have a different opinion. It's that simple.:Peace:

UlfB: that's a deal... But can we have some original ideas around here. No matter how absurd and not make "fact correcting" personal. State your 2nd opinion instead of knocking the 1st one... it's that simple. There's already 5 on my list and I really hope this is a misunderstanding because I don't want to add you two. And I will be more PC for bob's sake.

I'm on your list? What list is that? Is this some kind of threat? Nail%20Biting.gif

I really can't see how anyone can argue the 2600k is not the best one for overclocking purposes. There is obviously alterior motives in all of these posts. As bobby jack pointed out he was trying to Make me more PC, when in 2011that is unPC in itself. It's not up to an american how I choose to speak the queens english.
Sorry, but your interpretation of my posts could not be more incorrect. I don't care how you use English. But if you want others to understand...And don't flatter yourself about being stalked. There is more to how things work than just the theory behind them.Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

Theory? What theory.. I'm the only one around here that seems to be practicing programming.. while you guys are playing armchair technician. Please don't flatter yourself bob. Go back to last fridays thread about running C++ on an Nvidia processor... how absurd was that for your partners in theory.

Prolimatech Mega Shadow
IMO the Megahalems (Shadow or original version) is one the best aircooler out there especially when trying to keep it quiet as well as cool, I only supassed it with the Nochtua NH-D14 when equiped with 3 NF-P14 - 140mm fans.

Yes, the I7-920DO @ 4.48Ghz is a very hot chip and needs a cooler with three fans. Can this be silent?

Best regards from RelaxX

Very silent indeed! Three NF-P14s running at a nice max of low 900 rpm, (Mega can only handle two fans) the case helps too (ATCS 840) with silent three 750 rpm 240mm case fans among other things...sure helps! :)The loudest componants are the hardrives and the 580GTX, nothing else to hear.

I have mine with 3 Nidec GT. Nice little silent fans

Wow!I7-920DO @4.48Ghz on air cooling! This is one serious overclocking!! Are those black fans also NF-P14s?(I really don't like the Noctua fan's colour. I know it sounds stupid but because my case has a hudge window and looks like an aquarium with all the lights in it, I try to find the balance between performances and aesthetic.)

Hi David,I know what you mean! I was tempted between the Corsair H70 and the Noctua NH-D14 for my new system. Ended up with the H70 because i didnt like the cream/brown of Noctua's fans haha. Im hoping to save up and go for a full on liquid cooling setup with all the fancy lights

Nice to see that I am not the only wicko down here! :--))))Sorry for the OP, we are hijacking his thread  ..... but here is what my aquarium looks like

Wow. Wow.Wow.That's awesome. I can't think of anything else to say!Even more off topic here, on the NH-D14, can you remove and replace all the fans? If you can, I might just replace it with fancy red LED fans (to match the case)I've just had an idea for nVidia, they should have little LED lights on their cards to add to the look haha
