A friend had invited me to fly. We had planned it a month before but today was rainy and low ceiling so we couldn't fly. I took some pictures instead.Maybe some other day.All Ft. Lauderdale Executive (KFXE)1.2.3.4.5.

I used to fly for a company based out of that airport. Our hangar was just south of the approach end of runway 8. Good memories there of company bar-b-que's and lunch on the ramp area.Cool to see the pictures and I certainly am missing the warmer weather right now, rainy or not!

I just did my long cross-country IFR from KPIE down to KFXE. It's an awesome airport. And the FBO Banyan Aviation is probably the nicest. cleanest, fanciest FBO I have ever been to. And their bookstore is mindblowing.Nice pics too.

MY BABY in #1 (Well the flight school owned her, but her ratty butt was mine when I was her master).I flew as PIC for the first time in N5213M! My avatar is a shot in N2182F on a solo to KEYW. Spent the majority of my time in N864CK, N6059R, and some brief flights in N2117X. Logged 1.4 in N26379. The skies were angry. The nice thing is that unless its a major system it was temporary.I miss those birds, had lots of fun earning my wings in them.

Hi!Sorry you couldn't go flying but nice pics. It's always better to be prudent with regards to weather. I've been trying a little real world flying here in the UK too recently. I always thought getting in a small airplane and going up was going to be really scary but it really isn't that much different to being in an airliner! Low and slow was actually quite relaxing last time I went!Many thanks,Pierre
