Sorry, I know this has been brought many times in the past but could someone have a look at this monitor...http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OEM-19-WIDESCREEN-TOUCH-SCREEN-LCD-MONITOR-EPOS-/170602825108?pt=UK_Computing_ComputerComponents_Monitors&hash=item27b8b88594I fly VC and have the FMC and a bunch of 2D panels hooked up to seperate monitors. Would this touchscreen work for FS & a ATI card?Should there be certain things I need to look out for when it comes to buying a touchscreen monitor? and does it affect my ability to run my main FS screen in fullscreen? Also any framerate hits or weird quirks?I dont really want to pay £200+ and haul a monitor back to Bahrain only to find I wasted my time.Cheers!

I run three Lilliput (great Touchscreens expensive though) touch screens think they are 12s( PFD/ND size). Seems like most touchscreen companies use the same touch screen software, I used one of the touchscreen for my FMC and it worked great with no calibration issues. Not sure how you are able to run FS in fullscreen using separate monitors? I have to run mine in Windowed and I just undock all my panels to separate monitors. As long as the monitor isn't USB it should work great.

With my Acer T230 I run full screen, undock 2D panels and drag them onto the Acer. There is a touch screen setup thingy in Win 7 that makes it work. It´s a big screen, but a joy to work the overhead panel on. In windowed mode I can also drag a pdf-file onto it, and read procedures.Bjorn

Thanks guy's, no problems running full screen at the moment, I simply go to 2D undock the screens to the other monitors and then go back to full screen. I also save it as the default flight so I dont need to keep dragging the 2D panels to the other monitors.BTW my win7 system is sitting bare waiting for the PMDG 777 right now I use a XP system for the MD11 & 744 any problems using a touchscreen on XP for FS?Thanks again

@OHSIRUS: what size of touchscreen would be required to display a FMC? A minimum of 8" or larger? Does it have to be USB (since my two DVI connectors are already being used)?Could you possible post a screenshot of the FMC on the touchscreen? It's be a really neat add-on :)

Hi,I have a 8" lilliput running FSX on an ATI video card, it works great!I use it for undocking the FMC, I paid 200€ for it but it never gave me any problems. You have to run FS in windowed mode.Regards,David Di Domizio

Ok, I run FS9 fullscreen can someone confirm that FSX only works in window mode with VC and undocked panels? It's those kind of weird quirks I read that put me off.

@Flex1978: could you please post a picture on how it look in real life meaning your FMC on that lilliput screen? ANd does it need to be a VGA connection or do you suppose it'll also work with an USB tocuhscreen?EDIT: Will a 7"touchscreen also suffice to handle the FMC? Or does it really need to be 8" minimum?

http://www.amazon.co...98004053&sr=8-1Its a 10.4 lliput I use, I have three, 1 for PFD,ND, and FMC. ALthough I replaced the FMC monitor with a Vri CDU2 ,it worked great! It has DVi/VGA/HDMI and USB(for touch input). Also FSX will have to be run in windowed mode.DSC01287.jpg

Thanks for posting a picture. By the looks of it an 8" touchscreen will suffice too, right?

Sure, I just have big fingers. Make sure you sway away from USB monitors. I've had nothing but problems from USB video adapters and FSX.

But without USB I'm at a loss since my vidcard has 2x DVI and both are already being used. Another vidcard won't do the job I guess.

The Acer screen requires Win7 to work.B

Sure if you havve the slot throw a cheap video card in it. I had a GTX 480 and a ole gt7600 in the setup above. The gt7600 just pushed the FMC and Eicas.
