March 7, 201115 yr Hey all,I just purchased Radar Contact v4.3 today, and after reading these forums I found out I better install Meatwater's Vocpack for more realistic sounds.Ok, so I did, and as per Meatwater's instructions, I backed up all folders 0 - 98 in the winwood folder of RC (a total of 61 folders), and then unzipped all 10 parts of of Meatwater's zip-files into winwood. Just to be sure, I then recounted the number of folders 0 - 98, and to my surprise I only found 60.So I went digging to see what folder was missing, and apparently folder 63 existed in the original version, but not in Meatwater's pack.Did anyone else ever notice that ? If so, does this missing folder have some kind of impact on the functionality of RCv43 ? Should I copy folder 63 back from the backup location into the winwood folder ?Didn't have time to fire up RC yet, I only had the time to install and configure...thanks for any input on the matter.TJ Mathieu Souphy
March 7, 201115 yr Huh, I've been running the Meatwater mod-pack since its debute and have never noticed this. I can confirm, I am missing the 63 folder as well - but the original is in my RC backup archive. It's a Rick Thompson voice set. I wonder if this was inentional or by accident. I have re-installed that original 63 folder for now. Anyone else? Regards, Al Jordan | KCAE
March 8, 201115 yr Huh, I've been running the Meatwater mod-pack since its debute and have never noticed this. However I do not have a 63\ directory in my backup archives either. I seem to have Rick Thompson's voice set in a 92\ directory (in both the active and the archives).Claude Regards, Claude Franklin
March 15, 201115 yr I have downloaded files 1-10 and after extracting them I found I am missing folders 32-49 and 63-83 inclusive. I went back through each of the ten folders and checked. That's confirmed that the missing folders are not in any of the MeatWater Voc packs 1-10. What do I do now? Go to my back-up winwood folders and use them to fill in the blanks? Has any else got this problem?John G
March 15, 201115 yr Hi John,If you would care to check the original Winwood sets you will find that these sets are not included except for file 63.When the revised Meatwater sets came out ,Nick did point out that 63 does not exist anymore! You have not missed out on anything!Normam Norman Bowman
March 16, 201115 yr Thanks for the quick reply, Norman. But your reply did not answer my question. I know that Meatwater packs are missing file 63 but the Meatwater packs do not appear cover all of the other files on a one-for-one basis, at face vaule (see my origina post). Do the Meatwater packs completey replace all the winwood files I backed up as instructed - except file 63?Do I recall file 63 from the back-up winwood file I created in accordance with the Installation Instructions?Regards,John G
March 16, 201115 yr Hi John,The original Winwood files run as follows.0-31,50-63,84-98,then so on.These files are replaced by Meatwater files 0-31,50-62,84-98,then as original. All of the original files which ship with RC4.3 (The latest version) have been replaced on a one for one basis by Meatwater files, the exception being 63.This was never produced by Nick.Files numbered 32-49,64-83, do not exist with the latest version of Radar Contact. You are therefore not missing any files. Are you using another version of Radar Contact? All my comments concern version 4.3.3845!I hope that this has helped to clear up your question.Norman Norman Bowman
March 18, 201115 yr Thanks for that, Norman. I am using the latest version. I won't fret now.Regards,John G
