GTX 460 768MB or GTX 560 TI

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I am using a Gygabyte GTX 460 768 MB and was wondering if it would be a worthy upgrade to get a GTX 560 1Gb. I only play FSX and use a 19 inch monitor with a max res of 1440x900. My cpu will be (very soon) I5 2500k hopefully around 4.7. I would also overclock the 460 as it o/c pretty well. Thanks

I would save my money.. Yes, the 560 has (slightly) better specs, but not enough for you to notice.

I would also go for the GTX 560 TI. You´re a lucky guy, you will have the upgrade soon which I will have in quite a time. I want my i5-2500k NOW, I can´t wait!

Best regards, Steffen

While this could be a driver or setting issue, I'd just get the 460. I just put a 560 in last week and haven't noticed an improvement. I'm considering looking at a 570 or 580. But still haven't decided.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I've been doing some minor tweaking. I found that using the 8XSQ AA setting is much better than the 8XS i had at first. Anybody else with the 560Ti? Wondering what AA settings are looking good on this.

I would agree that the 8XSQ setting gives the best image quality without sacrificing performance.
