April 1, 201115 yr I've sat in the front passenger row on may a/c which is always nice but yeah nothing beats the VERY front row. I guess I'll pick up the MD-11 after the NGX is released. So assuming I've got approx $350US to do some upgrades around Christmas time would you upgrade the CPU or GPU and to what? Thanks again everyone for all the pointers.meh, I'd do both but defently your CPU, GPU maybe depends, start with the CPU and get a good OC going, like 4.8 or 4.9 ghz stable, you'll be in FSX heaven. Do those things first and you'll save your self a lot of time money and head-aches Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom

Taking it to 4.1~4.2 is well within the reach of anyone willing to spend a little time researching on the net. Getting a safe, stable and long term reliable 4.3~4.4 yourself (as opposed to buying a pre-configured system) is not too difficult but requires a reasonably advanced degree of skill and experiance as there is some pretty subtle and arcane stuff you need to be aware of. Getting much more the 4.6GHz, in a way that wont quickley descend into a glowing pile of slag, requires real expertise and more then a little financial clout. You would have to be willing to sacrifice more then one CPU in the chase for the last few kilohertz, and you should be able to afford a cooling system considerably more expensive then most peoples complete rigs. Look at the sigs for most people that use this forum and you will see that most are not extreme overclockers. Paul Smith.

Intel's autotune should get it up to 4.3GHz easily enough. Just be sure to have a decent cooler as it will run hotter with vcore on auto.
