November 23, 200322 yr We all raved about the wondrous creation in FS2002 but this FS2004 version has to be the best of the best!!If you haven't already paid for the FS2k2 version and are still waiting to receive your e-mail with the d/l link, then don't hesitate, go buy this beauty. The detail is quite extraordinary, she flies to perfection and is very frame rate friendly. Just goes to show that if the talent and experience is there, it can be done and those excellent guys (and galls?!) at RealAir Simulations have certainly done it in spades. There are many fine 3rd party a/c now available for FS2004 but, IMHO, this one vies for the top spot accolade. Wonderful :)Mike
November 23, 200322 yr Yeah they are very good at it ;). I would love to see a payware of the 172 by Real Air....[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smithhttp://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-5/196432/winglets_lg.jpg Randy J Smith
November 23, 200322 yr Thanks Mike. That's why it took us quite a while to make the update. Really it is a new aircraft, especially the exterior paintjobs and detail which through new techniques Sean has learnt are probably about twice as rich in depth and colour as the FS2002 version. We don't have any "Galls" here but I must admit I could do with more female company while spending long hours in front of the computer!Best Wishes,Rob - RealAir Simulations Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 23, 200322 yr Spending long hours in front of the computer is how you get rid of "galls".Great job on the SF.260 by the way!
November 23, 200322 yr I Downloaded the Decathlon... and WOW the detail was just awesome.. I loved it. I agree with the Frame rate friendly of this aircraft. Great Job... I can see.. a lot of work has gone into this... I also liked the "Dirty windshield" of the Decathlon..with an option to have a "clean windshield". ;)I can't speak for the flight model of the aircraft since I have not flown a Decathlon for real..atleast not yet. But I would be flying it eventually..so I wanted to check this Sim out.The detail was so good... I couldn't resist.. Now..I am downloading the SF260.Yes.. I want a Payware version of the Cessna 172.:) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
November 23, 200322 yr Glad you like it. Check out the groundlooping!Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 23, 200322 yr Rob,I can only confirm the great things already mentioned by others. The SF.260 version for FS2004 is even better than the masterpiece your created for FS2002. The flight dynamics are so wonderful, the level of detail is incredible, the VC is so sharp that it has the quality of very good 2D panels and to top it off, frame rates are extremely high. The SF.260 in FS2004 is the very first plane in which I can finally enjoy the virtual cockpit. No need to go back to the 2D panel for knob settings. I really cannot imagine that a plane for a simulator can get any better than this. One disadvantage: it is so addactive that it prevents you gfrom getting enough sleep. Thanks a lot to you and the rest of RAS team.Best regards,Henri
November 23, 200322 yr Hi Henri,Very grateful for your generous comments. If you do get round to it, try the Decathlon as well. You can really chuck this one all over the sky and it has bags of character too.Kind Regardss,Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
November 23, 200322 yr What a nice professional touch to receive an email from the company with my own download and password info for the latest version of this fantastic aircraft. Others take note!Have had the SF260 on my PC since the first FS2002 release and it is without doubt my favourite VFR aircraft. Coupled with the UK VFR Scenery from Justflight and Gary Summons UK2000 airfields it brings a totally new dimension to flight simulation. Thanks to Rob Young and the Real Air team for their superb FS2004 modelling of my favourite "real-world" aircraft. At least I can now afford to fly this one for alot more than an one hour a month!RegardsAdam

Also the framerates are probably the best around for a detailed "Payware" aircraft like the 260Anthony.......
November 23, 200322 yr Hi,I ordered yesterday the new Decathlon. My Order Number is #U3978243I have not received ANY E-Mails from you confirming the order, nor have I received any download link.Is ist normal that it takes a while? Maybe I didnt received the e-mails because of my SPAM-Filter. I have send you a e-mail about that. If it is normal that it takes some days to send the download link etc. than I do not complain. Else I am not happy... Regards, Torben Hadler
November 23, 200322 yr Just wanted to add my "Thank you" to Rob and Sean for the new FS2004 SF.260. I loved this plane in FS2002, and now it might be even better. The sound seems to be slightly improved as well. I just compared some of the files, the difference is subtle but definitely an improvement :)All I can say to everybody who does not yet have this plane, go get it! It's the best I have ever flown in the sim, and I've flown a lot of different planes ... ;)VOlker :]
November 23, 200322 yr Hi Rob,Yes, I might try the Decathlon as well. I did buy your magnificent Decathlon for Fly! II in the past. That also was a master piece. Best regareds,Henri
November 23, 200322 yr It seems like the very best addon a/c for FS2004 come from former Fly! developers (SF260, PMDG 737 NG). Makes you wonder where Fly! would have been now if we still had Rich among us and the sim would have been developed further...Paul
