Obsessed much? I have a dream!

Featured Replies

I've heard a few people say they have experienced this, but it never really happened to me until last night........ I had a dream involving the PMDG NGX! Bravo PMDG, they have gotten the anticipation level so high that some are dreaming about it, and this is the first time I can recall having flight simulator play a starring role in my sleep.Dreams are of course very strange and unrealistic (like some other competitor payware planes), but I will attempt to explain what was in my dream. I was sent a mockup of the PMDG 737 cockpit (3d and all, like an enclosed full motion simulator), and asked for feedback for the beta test. Everything was made of hard plastic, but was as functional as the real thing. I opened up my PMDG branded Boeing manuals to compare to the mockup. Strangely enough, the cockpit textures were blank, with placeholders saying "left FMC goes here, PFD here". Go figure!Well, that was my trippy dream, anyone else here care to share their experiences with the upcoming NGX in lala land? I figure my falling asleep while seriously studying the PMDG manuals can help explain this behavior!

I once dreamed I was flying their 744 & had a textbook landing. Then I woke up and reverted to CAT III's.....EDIT: I'm not QUITE that bad, but I can guarantee I won't be making any bets on my landing skills. Most times with REX weather I stay on the asphalt, that's all I can say...

I had a dream a week or so about the NGX being released on the 14th. It'll be scary if it actually does. That night, I had multiple dreams about the release of the NGX.

14th is too close. If I remember correctly, Randazzo still had to finish testing the Aural/Visual warning systems that probably started on Monday. The beta may take a week or two if everything go well. I believe that until the end of this month there's a high probability of the NGX be in beta and until the end of May, it'll be released.

Don't you just hate it when you wake up and realize that you where only dreaming about the NGX getting released?Big%20Grin.gif

I Dreamt about the NGX but not like this. I was on a real flight, apparently we were flying at 5 feet, and the pilot died or something happened and made me go to the cockpit. When I reached in there, the environment changed from, Real life to FSX, in the NGX Cockpit, and I crashed and I felt my leg burning for some reason. After strangely getting transported over to McDonalds in the parking lot. That was my perfect opportunity to lucid dream as I knew it wasn't real. So I summoned an F-16 that was just a bit too small. My dreams are weird. Oh well, tell you what happens tonight...

Hello,In fact dreams are a good thing... they occur in the primitive side of the brain and since animals have brains they "dream".If you have a cat or dog, you can observe their dream of hunting and whatever action they are involved in their dreams. It has been proven to actually prepare yourself for a danger, a particular situation and you will in fact react faster at the time it will occur. In the case of PMDG 737NGX release dreams it will make you, I guess, faster to click on the "check out" button... It is just about anticipating the day of the release so you will be ready for that event... Or if you are studying the 737 flight crew manual you will react faster in case of emergency situation and so on...I'd say for the McDonalds after a crash... the big mac will not extinguish an front cargo fire :-)Stephan
