April 11, 201115 yr why cant you add sceneries? is it because it bogs your system or it just wont install?I ask because there is a" trick" to installing sceneries in win7 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

April 12, 201115 yr It is not a virus, it has something to do with windows 7 .Although I still havent found out why.......? :(
April 12, 201115 yr It is not a virus, it has something to do with windows 7 .Although I still havent found out why.......? :(There is a dedicated Win 7 forum here which would be a good place for you to look for answers.http://forum.avsim.net/forum/348-the-win7-os-forum/I suspect you installed FS2004 under the default "Program files" location rather than elsewhere as is now recommended by many. A little research before you installed FS2004 might have saved a good deal of frustration.Anything installed under "Program files" is subject to the Security and Permissions checks which abound in Win 7.This issue and recommendations for getting around it is covered in several threads in the Win 7 forum.Hope that helps.

The problem still stands.
April 12, 201115 yr C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9 is the directory my current install is under not default "Program files" location. The problem still stands. That is exactly where it should not be. Do some research as has been suggested.
April 13, 201115 yr That is exactly where it should not be. Do some research as has been suggested.Ideally your installation should be somewhere else - perhaps in a folder like C:\FSGames. There are many discussions about this in the dedicated Win 7 forum which I previously mentioned. But since it is not, you can try these things (also found in the Win 7 forum):1. Right click on your FS9.exe file and under Properties and then Compatibility, set it to "run as adminstrator".2. Prior to attempting to install any scenery, temporarily turn off UAC (User Account Control) by setting to "Never notify".It is unwise to leave UAC turned off as that will leave your computer vunerable.Try those things and see if your scenery additions will stay recorded properly.
April 14, 201115 yr In answer to your original question, a good place to start would be for you to tell us the spec of your PC. Telling us Windows 7 and nothing else makes it a bit hard for us to answer your query.
