FS2Crew Level-D Panel State

Featured Replies

I'm sure you guys had a reason for establishing the panel state the way you did, but I like to start completely cold and dark. Why is the panel state you guys supplied not completely cold and dark, and if I do start with a complete cold and dark state, would there be a problem running FS2Crew?

Hi Johnnyapparently this is the state/condition that the pilots would receive/accept the aircraft in from the engineering crew if memory serves me correct.I am not sure what the effect on FS2Crew/LDS767 would be from 'cold & dark'. On the Wilco 737/FS2Crew you can start from a completely 'cold & dark' state.Regards Dave

I hope one day there will be an update, that would give you that option to start all aircrafts cold and dark, not just Wilco 737. Thanks for responding Dave!

Hi Johnny,Generally, in real life, you don't often receive the plane cold and dark.If you want to create your own cold and dark panel state, that would work.Cheers,

Hi Specialist,The Electrical Power up can be done by the captain, So if you load the Cold & Dark panel state the procedure to be done by you (the captain) would be would be:Battery switch ....ONStandby Power selector....AUTOVerify battery DISCH light illuminated and standby bus OFF light extinguishes.Hydraulic Electric Primary Pump switches .... OffHydraulic Demand Pump switches .... OffLanding Gear Lever ....DNAlternate Flaps selector ....NORMElectrical Power ....EstablishBus Tie switches ....AUTOIf external power is desired:If External Power AVAIL light is illuminated:External Power switch ....PushIf APU power is desired:APU Generator switch .... ONAPU selector .... START, then ONPosition the APU selector back to the ON position. If you look at page 18 in the FS2Crew Voice commander manual you will see:"If you do not want to import the FS2Crew panel data, you can setup the panel manually by ensure the aircraft is cold and dark except:i) Setting the Bank Angle Selector to 25ii) Position Lights Oniii) Battery Oniv) APU Onv) Air Conditioning Runningvi) Set the PA volume selector on the Audio console to full Off."So more or less just about the same thing outlined in the FCOM, (with 1 or 2 additions)which really should be done at that point anyway. So in all honesty, it is modeled,..in an indirect way (meaning the Captain has to do it) But as a captain (not on the 767), there's no issue with doing the electrical power up , it's not written in stone that the F/O has to do it.Regards
