Bizarre ATC bug - can't reply to requests

Here's a new bug that just cropped up for me in FSX. I've been flying the QW 757 for a week or so now, and just yesterday I lost the ability to reply to ATC requests. The ATC window pops up on command, and I see that I've been told to turn to X heading, but there are no replies listed in the window below - just a blank field where the communication options are usually listed. It happened in mid-flight, after successfully replying to a bunch of other requests. I found that the only way to get it back was to quit FSX and restart it. The best part is that it wasn't limited to a single occurrence - it happened twice on two separate flights. Has anyone else seen this, or have I somehow missed something boneheaded that causes it?For background, I've mapped the ATC window open/close command to a button on my Saitek yoke, and used the two rocker switches on the right horn to select ATC 1, 2, 3, and 4, which covers the majority of responses I need to make usually. This one's got me a little stumped.

I am sure that I had that one (when I still used MS ATC) - I think the solution was to manually de-tune the radio, then choose the option to Autotune it back in and I think your options come back. It does get a bit frustrating when it happens several times in a flight !!G

An excellent suggestion. I'll try it if (when) this happens again. Thanks!

I squawked something considerably more colorful the last time it happened. Big%20Grin.gif

I have the same problem on occasion. The solution is indeed to go go 1mhz down then back up and it works again

When this happened a lot to me I found it was because of a few duplicate afcad files

Yeah had this too, something about the ATC window losing focus...You need to dial a different freq on your comm stack, and then open the window again and it should have you contact the same "controller" again - it should autotune.
