May 15, 201115 yr Fellow Pilots, Robert and the PMDG staff,Will previous customers be given any discounts, special download packs or anything like that towards the 737NGX? I have purchased the 747 and the -800I expansion, and I love it very much. I would greatly appreciate a price break. I think it would show all of your customers your appreciation towards them for choosing your products, which really isn't a hard choice ;). If not, that is fine, it is a revolutionary product and 100% your choice when it comes to the end of the day. Thanks for your time and I anticipate the release of the product,DVA487 Captain Morgan Wiley Delta Virtual Airlines Delta Boeing 737-800 Senior Executive KDTW Hub Manager Real World Student Pilot Cessna 152 Pilot
May 15, 201115 yr They show appreciation by giving us Boeing certified planes ahaha. Many have purchased all their planes currently on their website and no we don't get discounts. I have asked once. Personally I don't mind paying top dollar for the NGX simply because of the dedication for realism they have and I want these guys to continue to create uber realistic aircraft without cost being to big a constraint.

This is a complete 100% rebuild with new technologies. To be hostest, I feel its unreasonable and inappropriate to ask for a discount. If you owned a old 1990 Toyota Corolla would you ask for a discount on a 2011?Best Regards,BB BillyBob David M. May 15, 201115 yr The original NG was built for FS2002. This is an entirely new product. So I think we can safely say it's a completely standalone product and that no discount/upgrade will be offered. Matthew Bellette
May 15, 201115 yr I have purchased everything that PMDG have created since the days of FLY! Would I like a little discount, yes. Will I buy it without a discount, yes. Why? Because PDMG are second to none! The 757, 767 and 777 they did a decade ago were well ahead of there time for simulation. So as a long time customer of PMDG, discounts are not important. The complexity of the aircraft and hard work of PMDG are more than enough discount for me. If I’m wrong then I’m sure you will purchase the other 738 on the market ;)Mataus Thanks Mat -|- Win 11 Pro, 14900K, Asus Strix Z790, 64Gb Corsair Vengeance, MSI 5090 - Hardware: MFG, Thrustmaster, Logitch, Honeycomb, Virpil, WinWing & Tobii. May 15, 201115 yr In fact there actually already is a discount on the PMDG 737 NGX in an indirect way for those who have bought other FSX products; the J41 was something of a testbed for the NG, and as you know, the J41 is not especially expensive compared to some other PMDG aircraft, in spite of how much it pushes things developmentally. But the PMDG FSX 737 itself has involved something like four years' worth of work, and after all that effort, to expect some kind of low price is a bit much. I'm sure you don't expect to work for a knockdown paycheck, so there really is no reason to expect others to do so. These guys deserve to make the money they charge for it as a financial reward for having invested all those years of time and sweat in the thing. That's the deal; they do the work, we pay the price and we get the shiny plane. There is no need for PMDG to show their appreciation for us having bought some of their other stuff, since we were happy to press that 'buy now' button without expecting anything more than what we got at the time.I know what has probably prompted this notion, but this is a different situation to the 'other' FSX 737 on the way, where in that case the FS9 and FSX versions are close enough to one another to have shared some development work, so it is something they can do for those who have bought the FS9 version, as the development costs were spread across the two products, and as noted, PMDG have in fact done a similar thing already, reflected in the price of the J41.Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
May 15, 201115 yr I would greatly appreciate a price break. I think it would show all of your customers your appreciation towards them for choosing your productsWhy do you think you should get a price break on a completely new product that was built from the ground up?PMDG appreciates us by taking the time to properly model, code, and test all systems to make sure it's as bug-free as possible.Don't know about you, but a company going to the lengths PMDG has to get the plane right the first time is enough appreciation towards a consumer like myself. You can appreciate PMDG's hard work and efforts at giving you a complete simulation by paying the full price they ask which goes towards reimbursing the thousands and thousands of hours that went into this product. And this isn't even their day job.Still want a discount? May 15, 201115 yr Author I do not question the quality of PMDG, or their customer appreciation. I know of their miracle workings and #1 next to nothing quality. I just meant this as a question. I plan on buying the NGX on release day, discount or not, like thousands if not more other people. I can't wait for the release, and just wanted to know a simple question. I didn't mean to sound so arrogant and pressing onto PMDG. Again, just a simple yes or no question. Thanks for your thoughts guys,DVA487 Captain Morgan Wiley Delta Virtual Airlines Delta Boeing 737-800 Senior Executive KDTW Hub Manager Real World Student Pilot Cessna 152 Pilot
