You have to adjust the brightness of them. When starting from cold & dark, they are dimmed all the way down. You will find the controls for this on the same panel as the NAV & V/L buttons. (Sorry not in front of my FSX PC).

Reading the manual for this aircraft is a good start. It's not one you can just jump in and fly.Make sure you have set the aircraft to your liking using the Configuration Manager for the ATR available in your Windows start menu.

I was wondering, what do people think overall of the F1 ATR in FSX? I do have it, but I'm reluctant to install FS9 ports because they tend to give me really bad FPS. The Leonardo Maddog is a good example of that. I only reinstalled it because I love that aircraft to bits, but otherwise I wouldn't have bothered. So how are your FPS with the F1 ATR, compared to, say, the LDS767, Maddog 2008 or PMDG 747?

I love it, but they never updated the virtual cockpit with proper night and day lighting.

I find it runs okay in FSX these days, at the time it was released it struggled a bit in FSX because it was a port, but the fact that computers have improved a lot since then kind of drags it along kicking and screaming toward a decent frame rate. It does a bit better than the Level D 767 on my system as far as frame rates go. Note that you'll need the rain fix for the windows.I can forgive it a lot (i.e.the dodgy props against clouds) because it is rather faithful to the real aircraft and I really like the real ATR-72, much prettier than all those ugly Dash Eight things, although I do wish Flight 1 would consider updating it or maybe doing an ATR-42. But it's a great plane for zipping over to not too distant destinations in Europe from the UK.Al

Seems very unlikely since Hans Hartman is essentially out of FS...DJ
