Hello,I have never used these but was contemplating adding them. Do they contain TCAS? What's your take if you've used these as to their perf impact and overall quality. I'll take my answer off the air!Noel

Hi Noel,Yes and no. TCAS is included in the WAAS Unlimited Pack explained below.A few things that you should be aware about RXP GNSS before you buy it.1) They are "the real deal" regarding simulation of their real counterparts. That means basically no Flight Plan Import functionality, you have to do it all manually just like the real unity.2) Both the 430W and 530W are sold separately, so if you want to have both you have to pay for both. The Duke has layout options for 1x430W , 1x430W+1x530W or 1x530W.3) The crossfill capability is sold separately also along with some other features (Ryan 9900BX TCAD and GNS 530WT model TAWS) on what is called WAAS Unlimited Pack. You DONT NEED the crossfill capability to run a 430W+530W configuration, but you won't have crossfill capability like sharing FPs on both units. What you can do though is manually add the FP on both units If you don't want to pay for the unlimited.4) There's no constant update for the AirCycle since it runs behind the Garmin Trainer, so no Navigraph updates. The last version released by Garmin (for free) was AIRAC SEP09-OCT09. That doesn't mean you can't have the latest AIRAC, you can if you subscribe for it, but that requires paying for the database subscription used in real world aviation, so its something to consider if you are only using it for flight sim.Don't get me wrong, as a real world pilot and user of those units I have to say that I LOVE the RXP version, they are BY FAR the best GNSS that you can get for FS. I'm just trying to show you some points that usually become a big issue for new costumers, since RXP website is not very clear on some points.Hope this helps.regards,Igor

What Igor said.If you want some realistic avionics, then they are certainly worth considering, but it can be quite an expensive thing to get them all. If you have to go for one alone, get the GNS 530, it'd be the cheapest way to get the most capability.Al

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Definitely get at least one of the options..I use the 430W because I've had it for a while and it works in other planes... Lotus L39, Orbx Lancair, Carenado Bonanza, Ant's P2002 SierraIf you were buying it just for the Duke I'd get the 530W because it's larger. The 530 natively fits in the Katana 4x and Lancair also.

Thank you very much everyone for these detailed accounts and comments, it will help me decide if this is right for me or no.Ahh, one more thing: how much performance hit can I expect with the 530 the Duke? Which set has weather/TCAS, or do any?Right now the Duke runs real well and I am able to use Bloom in rural areas and maintain excellent performance. Noel

You shouldn't notice any performance hit at all.
