May 29, 201115 yr Hi Everyone, It has been a while since I have flown from Almaty (UAAA). Feeling in the mood for a long haul trip, I loaded up a flight and found myself sitting on the tarmac ready to go.The problem is, as you can see from the screen shots, is that the taxiways appear to be bleached out. I am convinced that there are some missing textures. I opened up my texture folder in the Add-On scenery folder under Almaty 9 and found asphalt 2.bmp, asphalt2_lm.bmp and asphalt_lm.bmp. Scrolling further down I found taxia.bmp, taxia_lm.bmp, taxib.bmp and taxiab_lm.bmp. In my scenery folder I have a file _asphalt1.bglThese are files that I would normally attribute to taxiways. Does anyone have this scenery that produces similar images to mine? Or (more worryingly for me) does anyone have this scenery where the taxiways look ‘normal’. Any help, pointers or suggestions would be gratefully received. Many thanks. Tristan. Tristan Living in the beautiful Chilterns. May 29, 201115 yr Hi, Tristan!I guess you know this scenery has been patched a few times. Are you sure you have all patches applied?I think some of them were connected with taxiways, too.All of them are available at Avsim.su with the latest one dated March 2009.Make sure you apply all the patches and see if there is a ddiference:http://www.avsim.su/...nrating=&page=5
May 29, 201115 yr Are you using the v1 or v2 scenery? Cause I am using the v2 scenery and my taxiways are a nice grey, plus I don't have those textures files you mentioned. Here is the v2 of Almaty http://www.avsimrus.com/f/fs2004-sceneries-44/airport-almaty-intl-uaaa-fs9-v-2-0-2838.html?action=download&hl=Almaty

June 5, 201115 yr Hi!Decided to check my Almaty scenery after reading this post and found a somewhat different problem with the ramp textures!! Clearly some file or files have been installed in the wrong place! Any ideas anyone please? Thanks,Bill
June 5, 201115 yr Author Can't say, I have ever seen anything like this. In the end I simply deleted/uninstalled my existing package, downloaded Almaty V2 along with the one patch and all worked well...I would suggest you give it a go. BTW....There are couple of rogue trees that have sprouted up on runway 05 (I think). If anyone has any bright ideas how to remove them it would be appreciated. Thanks. TristanThanks TristanI have never seen anything like this before and I have a LOT of scenery addons installed. I will uninstall and redownload a fresh version as you suggest and hopefully that will do the trick. By the way I notice there are a few patches on that link for Almaty - which one did you use? Thanks,Bill
