It likely is the traffic as you suspect. Have you tried reducing the setting and checked the result?

You will have to do some trial and error adjustments to try and figure out the problem. To start turn My Traffic X off and if you fly through NYC like butter then you know. I am willing to bet that you will find only a slight improvement. Have you gone through the windows and FSX optimization tutorials from NickN ??Mark.

I did dial it down to 60%, but was unable to detect a difference. I will try 0% and see what happens, but I too Mark am betting that it won't make much of a difference. I've used the guides for FSX and Win7. I've also used *******' tweaks.

I dont have that Aerosoft addon or the city scape.And I usually run with zero AI traffic.But I do have FEX, GEX, UTX, and FSDT JFK scenery. With Flight1 Mustang VC I get about 20 fps give or take a few... With default stuff around 27 fps.

Yeah, I wonder what his magic formula is, because he appears to have some non-default airline traffic as he lands at JFK.

To make the video smooth he may have flow it at 1/2 speed then sped the whole thing up.Also if you have Aerosoft Manhattan turn your car traffic to zero, it helps tremendously(with all aerosoft cities actually).
