June 10, 201114 yr Hey, just wanted to post a photo of the A380's first coming to Miami. maybe PMDG would consider making an A380 :( James Goez - KOPF
June 10, 201114 yr Well, time to adjust my KMIA afcad to add a A380 parking space! Btw, is what is a DC-6 doing over in that part of the airfield, I thought the old fogies were on the northern side of KMIA. Was it there as part of the A380 festivities? A.J. Domingo
June 10, 201114 yr Author Ya, they had the DC-6 and DC-3 fly in as part of the ceremony. I couldnt catch the landing, and the takeoff is tonight, so I'll catch the landing tomorrow afternoon James Goez - KOPF

June 11, 201114 yr lol somehow i think it´s funny how people flip out when they see an A380 For the people living around Frankfurt EDDF it´s normal business to see some A380s each day :)For example: Each time the wind blows from the west side, the aircrafts land at the 25L and 25R. So if i am lucky, i am able to see around 3-4 A380 a day flying directly over my school at a lower FL (maybe 13000 ft). They fly so low that you can read Lufthansa or Emirates on it :) So for me it´s usual to see some A380s :) regards, Alexander Marx
June 11, 201114 yr Hope that doesn't become a regular thing!Dude... Lukas "TIN TIN -=9th Shrek=-" Mathijsen
June 11, 201114 yr Dang, I wish I knew about the arrival earlier, I might have driven down there to see her! As a side note, it seems this is a regular event now for DLH462 and DLH463. Now I just have to hope for bad weather at KMIA and a diversion to KPBI... (only inexpensive way to catch one :()
June 11, 201114 yr Nah, I don't think the A380 would be suitable for PMDG. I'd like them to stick to the Boeing jets
June 11, 201114 yr Hope that doesn't become a regular thing! Please explain ??? June 11, 201114 yr Please explain ???Don't worry.... this thread is going to shift to a pro Boeing vs. Airbus fight, US based members telling that Airbus is bad...GregMexico too much, too soon....
June 11, 201114 yr Author Ha! I finally caught the landing this afternoon @ 1:40 pm James Goez - KOPF
June 11, 201114 yr Don't worry.... this thread is going to shift to a pro Boeing vs. Airbus fight, US based members telling that Airbus is bad...GregMexicoI hope it won't both companies are producing just amazing piece of technology, both in their own way. The technology are just so different once inside the cockpit that you can't really compare, I sure hope some day there is finally a decent Airbus sim just to make it a bit more even in FS world :) Aurelien Vandoorine
June 12, 201114 yr Airbus does make good aircrafts. That's a simple fact, otherwise they wouldn't sell them to the big airlines. I'm european but i personally prefer Boeing but however the A320, A318, A330 and A340 (300/600 are the most common, i guess) look nice. And one thing you can say about the Airbus A380 is that its cockpit is HUGE!You can easily stand there without any problems... so in my opinion this whole Airbus vs Boeing discussion is weird. Both have advantages and disadvantages ;) regards, Alexander Marx
