Aircraft not moving

Featured Replies

I think I'm slowly going crazy. I set up a flight with the PMDG 737-800, everything is working as it should, I perform a pushback, start the engines, get permission to taxi, I release the parking brake,I slowly push the throttles forward and ....nothing : the plane won't budge. I can steer it but it's just not moving forward. I restart FS2004 and do the same thing with the same result : the plane is stuck. I slew it somewhere else but still nothing.Anyone any idea what to try next ?thanksMartin

HelloI had something like this happen to me as well, so it may not be just a PMDG thing. I wish for the life of me I could remember how I fixed it, what I do remember is that it was something simple and idiot that I was doing. I would be lined up for take-off would apply full power but would crawl down the runway with not enough power to to take-off .(It may have had something to do with prop RPM or torque or something like that.) however as this was a prop aircraft problem (Cal Classics Convair i think) I am not sure about jet airliners and this issue.Anyways some thoughts.Andy

If it happens with other aircraft be sure your ped brake axis are reversed (if used) so that with no pressure the brakes are off. Check you pedal calibration as well.On your engine instrument gauges for a turbine (prop or pure jet) aircraft are the N1 readings at idle after start and then increase with your throttle?

Is your autothrottle armed? Are your v-speeds correct. You may have derated too much, or perhaps all your engines are not running. You may have accidentally lost power. Also, is your aircraft overweight? How much fuel are you carrying? You may simply be too heavy . . .HTH.Is your autothrottle armed? Are your v-speeds correct.
