Inland lakes very blue

Featured Replies

I run FSWC but now I've noticed my inland lakes are quite light blue...I also run PNW NA scenery with Ult Terr X and GEX with Cloud 9 landclass. What changes do I have to make to get this right? OR does it look like yours?inlandCAlake.jpg

Under certain lighting conditions, mine looks similar. I'd really like to make the water look quite a bit darker. I'm trying various ENB mods now to see if one gives me a good balance of sky lighting with darker water & roads. Hope someone else here has some input for us.Scott

I agree with John. It took me a long time to get the inland water 'right'.As well as the UTX option that John cites, I also have FEX with the following settings:Water Theme: No Waves Burnt InWater Animation: Small JigglesPlus FSWC with the following settings:Horizon Reflection Intensity: 14% Vertical Reflection Intensity: 3% Reflection Blend Curve Multiplier: 1Reflection Blend Curve Intensity: 100%Base Texture Colour Intensity: 100% Sun Specular Reflection Intensity: 60%Moon Specular Reflection Reflection Intensity: 40%Moon Glow Reflection Intensity: 40%Apart from the problem with the colour, the other difficulty was reducing the wave size on inland water. The above settings do that, but at the expense of more dramatic effects at sea.

What's your water settings in FSX?

Try to rebuild your shader folder, just a shot in the air... Not that inside FSX but inside User folder.
