Michael, My suggestion was that they charge $200 ADDITIONAL for the "numbered" copy of the download. I'm sure you'll agree that this offer is a complete steal. I mean you can't put a price on proving to your friends that you were the 12,034th customer for the NGX when it comes out as opposed to the 12,035th. Come to think of it, I think I should ask that PMDG license this excellent business process from me for $20 for each of the "limited edition" NGXs they sell. Let me get on that...

Scandinavion, you realize that there is a clear difference between buying a share of a company and preordering, right? It's the difference between owning a piece of the company and simply owning their product.

...which is why I put it in quotes.But if you think about it, a pre-order is essentially an investment in the final product, so you therefore have a share in said project. With that, for the purposes of the project, you're a shareholder, in the most vague and weak way possibly able to be argued.All I was really saying is that as soon as they take money before the release, they open up a can of worms.

Mike: Lighten up, Francis. I'm here all the time. This question has been asked before and it was silly then. It deserves the answer it got. There's a nice way to call it out (with humor and the like), and a db way to do it , with personal attacks and the like, which seems to be the norm around here.
