PMDG 737NGX Livery Availability

Featured Replies

Steve, that thing looks absolutely fantastic! Excellent job! And here's a crazy bit of coincidence, my unit is on a training det to NAS Fort Worth for the next few days, and the very DAY we got here, that very aircraft (831) was parked in our hangar! Albeit with winglets and the "United States Navy" markings removed. Wish I had a camera with me, I could've got very up close to it!

Question for you since you saw it in person. Is the bottom color a light gray or that tanish bottom color the Navy has used from time to time. Looking at the C-40A pictures online, it seems there are variations amongst the different aircraft. When I get the non-winglet version done, then I can make one without the Navy wording, National insignia and the wing markings. The one above is how the non-winglet version looked. It has the slightly tanish bottom.

If the one non-winglet version is all you need...then let me know and that's all I'll do for now. Trying to work in the paint work in FSX amongst getting back to flying and messing with P3D. Love P3D!

I appreciate you asking, but I want to take a break for a little bit on NGX painting. I have to finish the Navy C-40A and the winglet version (if needed) and I have that "All Blacks" to get back to as well as several other BBJs I was working on. The trouble is that I've been really enjoying P3D and some of my other aircraft doing VFR flying in a multi-player setting. Not saying I would not pick up a livery request in the future. Just needing a break for a while.

When the 777 comes out, I'm sure I'll be very busy on that bird. That's a nice looking Quantas livery. Maybe one of the other painters will take on the challenge.

I'll have to look at it again today. I'll try to get some pictures if possible. Would like both non-winglet and winglet if possible, but I know you're a busy guy. FWIW, I snapped a long range pic with my phone last night here:

Hi Steve -

I am just curious - do you have any liveries premeditated for the 777? I think N777UA would be an appropriate first in her grey delivery livery :P

Steve, got another look at the aircraft today. It's definitely the light gray. Got another picture too, although I'm not sure how the quality will be since I'm posting this from my phone.

Hi Ben!

I was going to wait and see what the liveries were provided by PMDG when it gets released. I do not have any particular livery in mind. I want to wait and see how they made the paintkit and how it applies to the model. I'm hoping the top and lower fuselage areas will be better.

Thanks for checking. I'll make it light gray then. Easy to do. I should have the non-winglet version uploaded this evening, so it will probably be available in the morning.

All,

The Boeing C-40A Clipper of VR-59 "Lone Star Express" has finished uploading to the AVSIM library and should be available soon. I plan on making the winglet version of the same aircraft (cuurrent configuration) and hope to have that uploaded sometime this weekend. Here are a few shots from the upload.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a walk though so that I can remove the winglets of the British airways 737-800wl converting It to a 737-800

Thanks on advance
