PMDG 737NGX Livery Availability

Featured Replies

Thanks for your help, guys. I've searched the library and found a few old liveries but not the new one (unless I just missed it, dunno :P). So I guess I'll make a request. Anyone think they could me make me that?

Here's what I need:
TC-SNN - SunExpress Boeing 737-8HC/WL

PMDG 737NGX, 800WL version (FSX)

Thanks for your help!

Also was just wondering, has there been a new AAL livery for the NGX? I can't seem to find one of those either (the one I did find was blurry and inaccurate).

The WesternPacific "The Simpsons" is existing as 737-(900) ngx... But not for download on AVSIM... I don't know from where I have downloaded it...

If you ever remember where this repaint is, please do share.

Back again with another question. I know this may not be the right place to ask, but since most of you are probably frequent users of the 737NGX as I am, maybe there's a solution.

I've had issues since I bought the NGX with the eyebrow windows. All of the paints I have installed are meant to be eyebrow-less, and when I load up the aircraft, 9 times out of 10 the eyebrows will be unplugged. I know it's a minor thing, and I still really love this plane, but it's kinda annoying especially as it adds that small hint of inaccuracy to an otherwise perfect plane / livery.

Here's the pictures:

When i first load up the plane, it looks normal while the game is paused.

Seems normal, right? However...

As soon as I unpause the game, they pop up.

Is this a bug or glitch of some sorts? Has anyone else had this issue ? And if so, were you able to fix it?

Sorry again if this is the wrong forum, but I haven't found any answers yet.

To add on to my last post - I tried out all of my 30+ liveries and it seems as if the glitch happens ONLY on third-party liveries. I tried all of the liveries I downloaded straight from PMDG, and all of them worked as normal.

Another question (I'm too inquisitive sometimes. It's a habit. :P)!Is there a new AAL livery for the FSX ver. -800WL? I've found some but they were low-def textures.

Hi ninjsquirrel

This caught my eye as it's possibly/probably my repaint you are using there. Always nice to see a 'my' livery in use :)

I tried, but couldn't reproduce the issue. That is, pausing and un-pausing FSX causes the eyebrow window to appear. Am I understanding you correctly there ?

Another thing I'm curious about is

I've had issues since I bought the NGX with the eyebrow windows.

What did you mean by "I bought the NGX with the eyebrow windows".  ?

In general ... eyebrow windows can be turned on/off for any ngx livery with a setting accessible in the CDU / Aircraft /Options settings. (page 7  of those settings)

These settings are stored in an .INI file found in  yourFSXFolder\PMDG\PMDG 737 NGX\regnumber.INI

What did you mean by "I bought the NGX with the eyebrow windows".  ?

Oops, just my bad grammar. I meant that I've had the eyebrow issue since I bought the NGX. My bad!

I tried, but couldn't reproduce the issue. That is, pausing and un-pausing FSX causes the eyebrow window to appear. Am I understanding you correctly there ?

Not entirely. It only happens the first time I unpause after loading up the aircraft. With my FSX, when I start a flight (or switch to a new plane), the game is paused after I choose an aircraft. What's happening is as soon as I unpause that first time, they pop up and don't go away. Does that make more sense? Sorry if I'm not explaining it great, I just don't exactly know how to myself. :P

Anyhow, I will go try what you said now and report back if it worked or not. Thanks!

UPDATE: Crankpin, you are indeed a lifesaver. Worked like a charm, went in and updated all of the third-party NGX repaints which needed to be updated. That Air China bird is now 100% perfect! :D

The issue, then, was that the EyebrowWindows part of the .ini in third-party liveries got set to 1 instead of the proper 0 for some reason. Changing those 1s to 0s fixed everything. Thanks again, Crankpin!

If this is indeed your livery - which it probably is - let me say you did an amazing job on it. If you're not too busy, could you do a request? It's fictional, I can email you the details if you're willing.

Another update - found that AAL I was looking for. Thanks SRAces!

The FS9 version you can find here http://simviation.com//fs2004jets60.htm

The FSX version is over here http://fsdownload.com/modules.php?name=Sitemap I couldn't place a shortcut from this site over here to avoid error 404.

Good luck

So far as I know is the 737-300 for the FS2004 that's displayed on Simviation.

The NGX version, you can find on FSdownload you only have to search for it.

I don't place very often direct links because the use of the band Wight from others without displaying there website.

Gah, so I've been continuously looking for a new livery SunExpress 738. Still haven't had any luck. Wasn't somebody on this thread making one a while back?
