July 29, 201114 yr Are the excellent FS2 Crew team engaged in building a version for the 737NGX? Not only would it enhance the experience, it is also more realistic on a flightdeck built for two. KInd regards, Ian McPhail

July 29, 201114 yr I just hope the NGX FS2Crew version doesn't have the FO volume "soft...loud...soft...loud again" bug I experience on every other FS2Crew product I've purchased.Somehow though, I think I'll have the same problem. Must be tied to my soundcard or something. AJ Pongress

Must be tied to my soundcard or something.I could be totaly wrong here, but I noticed during the checklist, that the voices are recording with head movement as well, for example, when checking if the fuel switches are cut off. So as the captains head is turning to check, the voice goes distant, and then volume increases when looking forward again. Anyway, that's how I percieve it.
July 29, 201114 yr Commercial Member FS2Crew uses 3D sound, but we're not simulating head movement when speaking. We're pedantic, but not that pedantic. I answered the question regarding sound volume in the FS2Crew forum. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
July 29, 201114 yr Author Ah Turboblower, I'm glad I wasn't sent to their forum - on the other hand I'm off to get the J41 version of FS2; it's much harder on the ground than the 737. KInd regards, Ian McPhail
July 29, 201114 yr Could anyone point me to the main differences between FS2Crew and MultiCrew Xperience?I've used MCE for the past year but recently bought FS2Crew's Airline Pilot Extreme and so far it seems that it has a bit harder learning curve. July 30, 201114 yr Commercial Member Could anyone point me to the main differences between FS2Crew and MultiCrew Xperience?I've used MCE for the past year but recently bought FS2Crew's Airline Pilot Extreme and so far it seems that it has a bit harder learning curve. FS2Crew is an airline crew simulation. We take real-world SOPs from a specific airline, and model them as closely as possible. Remember that when pilots at X airline join the airline, they'll spend a lot of time in ground school, in the jump seat, and in simulators learning and rehearsing these company specific SOPs before being released to the line. They don't just pick it up all up in 5 minutes. So with the realism comes a learning curve, just as the NGX will come with a learning curve due to its complexity. The newer versions of FS2Crew, however, take every possible step to lower that learning curve with a simplified interface system. Cheers, B. July 30, 201114 yr Hello Bryan. I can confirm that the newer FS2Crew Voice Commands are much more intuitive than the original versions. In fact, since I have every one that you made, it should be hard for me to jump from one aircraft to another, but it is not. I can easily use any of them by opening the FS2Crew.pdf manual and glancing at it when I need to. Also, if your not sure what to say at a certain point of a checklist, all you have to say is "set" and the flow carries on. Bryan, I think I mentioned this on your forums, but I wanted to say it again. I love the way that you set up the last release with the pre-recorded takeoff and approach briefings as button controlled, even on the Voice Command package. It is a great option to be able to hear a real brief during the flight and I always feel silly muting the program, then reciting a brief all by myself with no one listening (except maybe, my wife in the next room). Thank you for setting it up that way and I hope you will include those pre-recorded professional flight briefs in the NGX version. Robert Yunque

August 3, 201114 yr Cheers, Robert, you'll have all that in the NGX version, too. That's great Bryan! You just keep improving every release and making them more intuitive. All of the FS2Crews are great, but the Voice Command really adds a bunch of fun and you don't even have to be very careful of how you speak. I have almost mumbled and the FO still understands what I say.Having the option to do a button activated brief is such a big help. Bob Robert Yunque
