I believe it is possible for PMDG to get the spamming IP Address and do a whois? -Martin Harasimowicz
If it is a coordinated DDOS attack, it would not be a case on "an" IP address, but rather thousands of IP addresses - most of which are computers which have been compromised by malware designed for just this purpose. Google "botnet" or "DDOS".

Hi, Its simple, PMDG once again underestimated the demand. No-one sabotaged the download.
PMDG has stated that is a DDOS.

This is conjecture at this point, and while I'm waiting for my purchase to go through, as frustrated as I am at least we are getting some entertainment out of this situation. I first thought otherwise, that the server performance we were expecting is less than advertised, but now it does seem some kind of malicious attack is at play. If not the competitor itself, friends or loyalists who are sympathetic to the competitor could be behind this. I hate to say it, but maybe RSR shouldn't have made that innuendo towards a certain country with his insinuation that they were using stolen manuals, this very well could be retribution for those remarks.

Im thinking maybe its all of us customers who viewed the NGX tracker site that was determined to be questionable, thats typically how these things work

What would Ifly gain from doing this?Once everything is sorted out with the problem people are still going to be able to buy the 737ngx, its most likely some troll doing this for their own amusement.

Hi, Its simple, PMDG once again underestimated the demand. Its happened in the past and I'm sure it will happen in the future. No-one sabotaged the download.
I find fault in coming to a company's page and calling them liars. That's not cool at all. To my knowledge PMDG has not done anything to warrant suspicion.Maybe this is some crazy sarcasm that I'm missing...

Wait, something just hit me. Remember that weird ngx tracker thing being sent to everyone? Maybe that could be causing a DDos, infecting many others to take this down. Hmm...

There is an old southern saying (US South that is)... This topic is "dumber than dirt". So, before it gets out of hand and while the PMDG guys are up to their eyeballs, I am locking it.
