PMDG 737NGX DirectX Setup SERIOUS ISSUE

Marc, Check if that Cryptographic Service is enabled in services as Ryan asked to, disable that friendly antivirus and then try again. Are you using any registry cleaners, any staff like this? EDIT: The problem is only on your side, sorry. If really nothing helps, you can always clean re-install Windows, it's hardcore solution but should help, of course on one condition that you wont install any software that's causing your problem now, avoid all cleaners, all magic speed-my-pc-for-free-10times tools, etc. I had tones of issues with AVG and I will never us it again, if you don't want to pay for AV then try Windows Essentials, I'm using it on my EFB/Weather laptop and it's alright.
No I dont have any registry cleaners. I use SSd's. my C drive is 80 gbs SSD with OS Win 7 64. My FSX is on D drive with 3 SSD's 80 gbs times 3 =240 gbs in RAID0. Dont want to reinstall windows if I dont have to because so many things are registered there from FSX. LeveL you know who is there, Ariane, FSDT is there. It effects everything.

Im still getting this: A cabinet flie neccessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verifythe Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate isvalid. Thats the message after 737 attempts to finish installing and the DirectX Setup fails to install.

I installed the PMDG 737NGX and after it is installing a window comes up to Install the DirectX Setup. It Fails to activate because, 'A cabinet file for the installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. Are you freakin joking. After waiting 2 and a half years you cant get this thing to work unless you take a cryptograph class which is given in the United States Navy which I served in for 12 yrs. What is this and how do we fix it. This is really ###### poor PMDG. I make to many movies about FSX on YouTube to have this issue, especially when I have the God of all computers which has more power then the highest recommendations you are stating to run this product. Can someone give me an answer soon before I put up a video on why not to purchase this product. Myself and my friends have thousands of subscribers and this doesnt look very good. You obviously wasted your 12 years because "you didn't learn jack squat". It is likely worse than that ... Let me give you a clue (you need one badly). I would recommend you repeat the following minute by minute until it sinks in. "I have found the enemy, it is I."

Hey guys, one more thing. I have both the PMDG MD-11 and the 747 and I never had that issue come up before. What would cause this now. Thank you.... Marc

Hey are you ok, I think you might have fallen into the wrong forum. Fight Night is located on another internet site. Thanks for dropping in though.

Now that I have responded to your impudence here is how to resolve your problem. 1) use the ngx installer to remove your ngx installation2) go here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=35, download/install DirectX.3) reinstall the ngx I hope this helps out others having related DirectX sub-installer problems.

I kind of figured you wouldn't get it. I responded above with a possible fix. I did a have similar installation problem and this solved it.

Marc, if you have your FSX staff on separate disk matrix, re-installing Windows will affect only some of them. I would try that. It's huge waste of time, yes. But it's even bigger waste waiting doing nothing, there are small chances that anyone will figure out what's going on in your system. Something could happen sometime ago, resulting in problem today. In the end, any Windows needs to be cleaned form time to time...

You mean to do a flat line and kill it on C drive and do a reinstall. I was planning on doing that but to do it because I just want this plane. Errrrrrr. You may be right though to just get it over with.Might do a clean install of fsx and get one more ssd to give me a little more space. thanks for your help... Marc

go to folder options and check show hidden files and folders.then go to c drive look for windows and in there is a folder called sysWOW64go in and look for directx folder go in and delete all the files inside...

I have the same problem with directx in the install, but i download the latest directx from microsoft, install it and the problem is OUT.

But I did try the download several times and it wont execute at the end just gives me that statement that it failed.
I am out of ideas and not experienced enough with this topic to offer any more constructive help but it sounds like a good idea short of trying a few other things (perhaps uninstall DirectX completely, then reinstall using the link to MS or try just reinstalling the ngx again) to take the hit and start fresh. You might end up chasing some obscure problem for a very long time. BTW, the future is friendly, Cheers!!

Im sorry, I did that earlier several time too and that didnt solve the problem. Tried to install the DirectX from the Microsoft site and it wont install. Keeps repeating the same answer.

There were no files at all in there.
