August 5, 201114 yr First off, reason I'm posting my NGX experience is to hopefully get some positive feed back to better my gameplay / flight sim experience with the new 737NGX. I'm not here to knock PMGD nor offend the PMGD hard cores here. Also, we can leave out the feud between Intel/AMD, Nvidia/ATI set up. My specs is located under my sig. After installation I fired up FSX, looked for the NGX and there she was, parked in my hanger. After I selected the 737NGX and hit "Okay", when returing to the main screen, it was black. I waited (about 1 min. or so) then the NGX came up on the splash screen but transparent. I waited again and the plane appeared . Perhaps because it's a new s/w and need time to adjust to my system. Same thing happened when I switched from VC view to engine view, then back to VC. I even had to restart FSX, The textures and details, from the dust to the finger prints on the instruments, to the sign of being used was impressive. Better than the free addons I've been using. Ohh, this was my first payware for aircraft btw. The sound was so so, or maybe a tad better than some of the free ware out there. Frame rate was horrible. I was getting between 8-15 fps..........even at FL20 and FL30. And usually at this altitude, I can easily achieved 30fps. (I have my pfs locked to 32fps btw....) After taking off on a test flight, I realized that my Saitek Proflight Radio, Multi and Switch panel does not work with the NGX, and to retract the landing gear, I had to use the "G" key on the keyboard. Even clicking on the lever didn't work. Thankfully, the flight yoke, throttle quadrant and rudders works fine. The flight dynamics was very stable, and very easy to manage. I hand flown this via VFR back to EGKK and it was a smooth landing. Again, had to use the "G" key for the landing gears. TGIF and I will be toying with this the whole weekend. If I can get my pfs up and my Saitek panels to work properly, I will be a happy simmer. If not??? I would hate to have to resort to mouse clicking and keyboard pecking to fly this bird. Any suggestions or input is welcome. Dave Hong
August 5, 201114 yr Same here with the framerate/ and my rig is very powerful and overclocked as well, probably same as yours since my performance meter doesn't work on AMD/ATI specs. It's a bug i'm willing to bet, and it will be fixed soon.
August 5, 201114 yr Try not to lock your framerates, set the slider to unlimited. It helps for most people with this issue. August 5, 201114 yr Flynabilx2 is right, set your fps to unlimited..i went from 19-25 to 30-50fps just by doing that.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that FSX is not set up to handle crossfire or SLI and this can degrade performance. Iain Smith
August 5, 201114 yr I have mine set on unlimited and the same problem with FPS, my PC is very decent and I never had any problem with any other plane except ifly and this is similar now , low FPS and mouse lag, even now i'm FL330 i'm getting 17-23FPS compared to pmdg 747X I get 35-45FPS easily, I have the same problem with saitek as well for the landing gear. I hope all these issues will be taken care off soon.Evan Banalian.
