GET READY for FS FORCE!

I think that it worth every cents. I already spent some money with aircrafts and scenerys, which I just used for few months, in the other hand I guess that I

Good thread....As I said, you'll see. That frame rate issue was solved between Betas by fixing the trim window that pops up. And, by the way, that window is optional when you configure FSForce. I like it, and it has no effect on frames NOW. That window serves as a gauge that has tremendous value when flying to see where your trim is set exactly. Some older panels had such a numeric indication on trim, and some didn't. With FSForce, all planes have the numerical value for Trim. The question about helicopters is a difficult one to answer. Because you have the flexibility to adjust the software, those of you who've flown helicopters will be able to make it feel as real as possible, I assume.ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: Russell plans to keep working on FSForce, and in the next version plans to incorporate "turbulence bumps", etc. I feel that without force feedback of some kind in MSFS or any flight simulation for that matter, that it would never be "as real as it gets".By the way, as an official Beta tester, I did not get this software for free. But as soon as it was available for purchase, I purchased it! That's how good I feel it is. As was said, "worth every cent". Stan

Is this software actually available to the public yet?Oh yes, just read. 29th December.

Really to bad there isn't a yoke and pedals with FF, as this is a big part or realism. For the naysayers, we'll have to wait and see, I am interested in this as I use FF when I fly, so we'll see.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://mysite.verizon.net/res052cd/mybannercva1.jpgCalVirAir International VAwww.calvirair.comCougar Mountain Helicopters & Aviationwww.cgrmtnhelos.com

Actually, I'm quite interested in the answer to your question too.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/cin.gifwww.bavirtual.co.uk/cin.htm - please give generously!!Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[p]AMD XP2800+ Barton, Gigabyte GA-7NNXP nForce2, 1Gig Crucial PC3200 DDR 400MHz, Gainward 128 MB GF4-4200, SB Audigy, 3 x WD Caviar SE[/p]

Thanks for that John. Glad to see it actually wasn't in the forum and it isn't due to my 'old eyes':-)Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/cin.gifwww.bavirtual.co.uk/cin.htm - please give generously!!Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[p]AMD XP2800+ Barton, Gigabyte GA-7NNXP nForce2, 1Gig Crucial PC3200 DDR 400MHz, Gainward 128 MB GF4-4200, SB Audigy, 3 x WD Caviar SE[/p]

If you only flew these simulators based on real pilot input, you probably wouldn't have many planes in your FS folder. Just look at Microsoft's default planes...supposedly tested by "real" pilots. Do they seem to fly like the real things? I don't think so. The closest a Cessna 172 model has come to the real thing is supposedly the Real Air 172 Cessna. That's just 1 example. We've been trusting many other individuals besides "real pilots" for many years. Soon after Russell makes his software available, the "Real pilots" will change the parameters of some of the profiles in the program and upload these "real" settings for all of us. That's the way it usually happens. Fortunately, though, we have "visionaries" like Russell who make these wonderful things available to us. The so-called "perfectionists" will come out of the woodwork soonafter. At least the program will be customizable. No one...pilot or non-pilot has even attempted to design better forces for us since the hobby began. So, I give credit to those who at least try...regardless of their credentials. Stan

>Is he a pilot ? I wouldn't trust FF developed by anybody but a>real pilot.Certainly is! A student pilot - say's so on the site.Cheers,Paulhttp://www.strontiumdog.plus.com/cin.gifwww.bavirtual.co.uk/cin.htm - please give generously!!Officially licenced by British Airways plc for use of name and logo[p]AMD XP2800+ Barton, Gigabyte GA-7NNXP nForce2, 1Gig Crucial PC3200 DDR 400MHz, Gainward 128 MB GF4-4200, SB Audigy, 3 x WD Caviar SE[/p]

heheIt,s my tired old brain that was at fault:). damn this D.O.B's affliction :)The issue was discussed between Russel and myself via Email not on the forum

I certainly don't care if the developer is a pilot or not, I judge a program by it's own merits, not who developes it. Maybe this new program will start the ball rolling for more advancements in this area, best to support such ventures IMO...[h4]Best Wishes,Randy J.
