August 6, 201114 yr searched the forum but found no entry on this. when showing airports on the ND it displays all the airports. i would assume there is a way to filter the displayed airports by runway length. i did not find any setting for that on the mcdu. did i just not find it or is it somewhere else? thanks! August 7, 201114 yr Could be wrong, but I wouldn't expect any filtering...... August 7, 201114 yr In the FCOM2 it simply states that it displays all airports stored in the FMC database. No word of filtering at all, so I suppose it isn't possible. Oliver Schweizer
August 7, 201114 yr This is usually a company thing I think, the PMDG MD-11 had the option though to make a minimum runway length filter. Jay Vorkapic
August 7, 201114 yr Yes, the MD11 has that option. But I haven´t found it for the NGX so far .... Holger Mute
August 7, 201114 yr Guys, if you look carefully, it shows only runways that are long enough for the 737. For example, i am now flying Klagenfurt (LOWK) - Stansted (EGSS). As I am above the Austrian Alps, I turned on ARPT on my ND. It does show LOWS (Salzburg) , LOWI (Innsbruck) but no LOWZ (Zell Am See) or no LOIJ (St. Johann) because they have runways that are too short or too soft for the 737 ;) No need to filter because it does it already :) Regards, Harm Swinkels
