August 7, 201114 yr Can someone please let me know how to "pop up" the 2D throttle stand. Can find the buttons to bring up the Overhead panel etc but there does not seem to be a throttle stand in the 2D cockpit or is it only to be seen in the Virtual Cockpit mode? Also, can this aircraft be flown from the FO seat or is it similar to the 737NG (FS9) where only the Captain seat is used to fly this. If so, how do you change seats???? Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks BraytonCycle
August 7, 201114 yr There is no 2D throttle view, nor is there a 2D FO view. Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
August 7, 201114 yr Just curious...what was the rationalization behind not including a 2D throttle panel? You have all the other panels in 2D form... Alex Maxwell Gunther
August 7, 201114 yr Alex, If memory serves, it had to do with reducing some of the complexity of the code. When you have a VC and a 2D, everything has to be coded more or less twice. August 7, 201114 yr Unfortunate that this was left out of the release build - hopefully included in later builds. In other aircraft, as an alternative to using the throttle axis on my joystick, I undock the throttle panel and move to my second monitor so that I can move the throttles with the mouse and look out the window something you can't do with either EZCA or Track IR. Time will tell how much of a problem this omission will be with the NGX. It is certainly an issue with airbuses where there are detents that can be tricky to map to a physical throttle lever even with FSUIPC. Bruceb Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened." Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."
August 8, 201114 yr There is no 2D throttle view, nor is there a 2D FO view.Very dissapointing !! Frederic Steiner.
August 21, 201114 yr Very dissapointing !! Agreed. Please include this in future updates. I get about 4 FPS in VC, so it is a pain to set trim, etc... Alex Maxwell Gunther
August 21, 201114 yr Good 2d panels are still needed, not everyone has a super computer able to get good fps in a 3d cockpit. Teo Halfen Teo Halfen
August 21, 201114 yr Good 2d panels are still needed, not everyone has a super computer able to get good fps in a 3d cockpit. Teo Halfen I think the 2D panels are pretty darn good. But, Mr. Bob Loblaw (ha!) suggests that they didn't include the throttle panel due to code complexities, however this area of coverage is very limited in code complexity. You have throttle positions, fuel cutoff switches, spoiler position, and trim. Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to implement. Alex Maxwell Gunther
