August 7, 201114 yr ... because It looks like the sea has risen and covered the holiday island of Ibiza, at least that's what the EGPWS seems to think anyway. It doesn't show up, it just shows as water [see Pic] I don't know if this is a bug, or just a limitation of the system, but the island itself does have some high terrain in the centre, so probably should be shown. I do have Aerosoft Ibiza installed, but I think it was said that the EGPWS system works off the default mesh anyway. I also have Aerosoft Palma installed, but it does show up on the EGPWS. I've attached a screenshot to show yee. Rónán O Cadhain.
August 7, 201114 yr Nick from AoA stated in one of his video's that it takes the current terrain database of FSX (or that was anyway where he was pointing to). So it should read new 3rd party addons. Maybe consider reinstalling Ibiza? Regards, Harm Swinkels
August 7, 201114 yr I was under the impression that the terrain database was separate between FSX and the NGX...hence all those .DEM (which I guess stands for Digital Elevation Model) files that took a bit to install during the installation. I vaguely remembering Rob stating that their may be two download versions available to help save bandwidth for some...one with the DEM files and one without. So you may have found a gap>! August 7, 201114 yr It is. The real time BGL reading has been dropped some time ago due to performance. The DEM files supply similar resolution to what could be found on the real counterpart, according to the devs (which is not too high resolution).
August 7, 201114 yr Author I know it's not too high a resolution, but still this is an entire Island that's not mapped, and it has a mountain in the center, pretty had to miss IMHO. Rónán O Cadhain.

August 8, 201114 yr In the disclaimer of that very video he said that it is a PMDG-made database, so it's a PMDG issue. Go watch the eGPWS video again ;) Regards, Harm Swinkels
August 10, 201114 yr I have found that problem on the very first day the NGX was released. I flew from EGLL to LEPA and the whole island was missing on the EGPWS. I also thought that they would use the installed terrain database within FSX so that addon stuff should work. Oliver Donner
August 10, 201114 yr interesting read. explains what was already posted here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/343278-weird-terrain-warnings/. could have to do with 3rd party scenery like orbx in my case of orbx changed the coastline. would be great then if there'd be a possibility to edit the dem files, cannot imagine that pmdg intends to provide updated for all 3rd party scenery...
