August 9, 201114 yr This is an outstanding aircraft!!!! However integration with hardware has been a little painfull... buttons/switches have been assigned with trial and error.Axis assignment was easier with the exception of the elevator trim axis. No matter the settings I use, trim remains within a vary narrow range even with full motion of the axis. Sometimes, indeed, trim moves in only one direction (only nose up or only nose down) even with forward/backward movement of the axis. We really need a SDK soon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Duran.
August 9, 201114 yr Hi Duran, I have the same problem with my PFC Column yoke and VRAC Throttle Quad. I was able to get everything setup except Pitch Trim; it remains within a small range on my setup as well. Have you been able to find the STAB TRIM Norm/Cutout key commands?. I'm still looking, but haven't been able to find the keyboard commands. August 14, 201114 yr Guys, the same problem is happening to me. I love to fly the airplane without the autopilot on, but things now are a little tougher. I got difficulties to set it up. In others previous add-ons I could easily configurate the trim in flight. Now I have to use two buttons in the saitek yoke cause the axis for the trim only goes in one direction. And with the buttons this job is very painful. Anyone got any idea how to bypass this issue?
August 14, 201114 yr Guys Something I noticed too, but are you testing this when you on the ground with no power, or hydraulics on? I noticed that I could only get trim going in one direction even though I have trim mapped to saitek yoke( I use the rocker switch on left side of yoke) I also have a trim wheel on my go flight gf lgt. However engines started and suddenly I can trim in both directions...with no issues at all. What is weird though is that if I mouse click on trim wheel when I'm having th trim in only one direction with no hydraulics one, it will go both ways! Not sure if there is some strange logic programmed into the PMDG with how it handles hardware...as you say an sdk is most certainly needed...I'm missing not being able to use my mcp.Im using Linda though at present to map other controls which is an excellent way to do it, and map my trim through there, along ith engine start controls, soft autopilot and soft auto throttle disconnect, far better ay of doing it even than the key commands in the fmc, I just left them all blank now. September 12, 201114 yr It happens to me too. I have a Logitech G940 with trim wheels, elevator trim wheel does not trim all the time either it is on the ground or in the air. I have calibrated the wheel and remove FSUIPC.ini file in order to remove the possibility of conflict and it still has no trim. Can somebody help me to solve this problem? Trim wheels is one reason I invest on this wheel and now it is not working :-( It works fine for other add-ons though. ~ Charles
September 12, 201114 yr Here's a wild idea: have you tried setting your trim axis via FSX, instead of FSUIPC? Cristi Neagu
September 12, 201114 yr @Cristi, I asked this in the other trim post, but didn't get an answer. Since it was directed at you, and this is also regarding trim, how do you lower the repeat rate of the trim? You said on FSX Options, Keyboard shortcuts, but I can't for the life of me find that location. Thanks in adv. Chidiebere Anyahara
September 12, 201114 yr i have the trim axis configured via FSX and everything runs great. In fact the only thing i set through FSUIPC is the AP Disengage, AT Disengage and TO/GA buttons Matias SorcinelliCHECK MY CHANNEL!!! - http://www.youtube.com/user/masneoquil

Okay... let's do it step by step then....In FSX main menu (that is, with no flight loaded), go to Settings->Controls->Buttons/Keys. You then select your joystick from the dropdown, and right below it you select "Control surfaces". You then scroll to Elevator trim, and on the right you have the Repeat sliders. Do note that those appear only if you have assigned those commands to a joystick button. If you want to assign an axis to control trim, use FSX, not FSUIPC. Cristi Neagu
September 12, 201114 yr Thank you for the reply Cristi, I'll try that when I get home. Remind to everybody, according to the Introduction manual, do not use FSUPIC to calibrate the controllers. ~ Charles
